The two points was great, but would rather have gotten them without giving Washington a point. As tight as everything is, you need all the points you can get, and you need to make sure you limit your opponents where you can. **** happens for sure, I just thought that aspect of it sucked.
 
The last 30 seconds of the 3rd was bad. Whos responsibility was it to NOT let Wilson setup shop in front of the net? And Kasperi Kappanen is going to cause serious problems for teams in the playoffs. From the first shift he took as a Pen he has been flying. If he gets a run he is going around whoever is defending..

We've been super sloppy with our crease this year. If we get sent home in the playoffs, it will be because of this.

Old 29er was harping on Letang allowing Wilson to camp out on the doorstep. Looked like he simply didn't want to engage him. Sure would have been a great time to have a big body in there like Chara the Washington Monument, to keep him and other big critters off balance in front of our goal.

that's why that goal hurt as much as it did. I didn't want to give Wash any points. If Letang doesn't hit the post on the empty net, we are not talking about it. Oh well, **** happens. 15 straight years in the PO. Great stuff!

Yeah. We need to be more physical. It just is real. Until that happens we will be suspect as a contender.

I think what bothers me more is the fact these guys are grown men and allow themselves to be bullied.

I know if that was me on the ice. I’d be cheap shotting right back

Oh for sure. I have a pretty nasty disposition when hit,it trips my switch. I'm chill up until that point.
 
These last few games are going to be interesting. In a perfect world I think it would be best if the Pens got matched up with the isle's in round 1 and left Boston and the Caps beat the hell out of each other. I don't see them holding the number 1 seed and getting home ice, which would be nice since they are killer at home, because the other teams have 1 or 2 games at hand on them.

Just try to avoid injuries at this point.

I read that Letang was inexplicably behind the net on that play and his responsibility was whoever happened to be where Wilson was on that play. Blown assignment I guess.

Ha, when it first happened I thought, "probably Letang" but I dont know who's assignment is where at different places on the ice. He is good for 1 or 2 of those plays every game...Sometimes it costs them, sometimes it don't. You would think for as long as he played the game that would never happen, but it does...And drives us fans crazy.

Pens are skating well so far. Still can sense Washington head hunting. Sullivan needs to let go of that pure speed philosophy. You can have speed and physicality
