I’m hoping Sid’s line gets something going in the 3rd. The rangers did a good job shutting down any outlet passes in the 2nd.

Shockingly the bottom lines are getting in. Looked a little sign of life with Zucker and Rodrigues.
I liked the hustle by Rust earlier.
My take. The Pens had the momentum and the rags frustrated. I would’ve kept utilizing Zucker to pester them. They stopped in the 2nd
The sad thing is this team can blow an opponent out of the water.
However they get too complacent when they have a lead. That mindset starts at the top. Expect FSG to address that
7-4.
Nice coaching adjustment by Sullivan. The guys controlled that blue line and didn’t make the offensive side of the rags get life. Sid looking vintage behind the opposing goalie.

Thank god. Next game is big. A win puts them in the driver's seat to close it out.
Whew! Great win! Had me nervous! Gutsy after they let NY come all the way back. Clutch goal by Heinen. Very strong third period. Can't wait for Monday!!

Yes, finally a game where everyone except Sids line scored....Minus that empty net goal....
Zucker coming back sure made a heck of a difference.
We will just pretend that second period never happened.
The Pens have been the better team all series. Aside from that horrible 2nd period. This team looks good. The faults show big time though when they do show.
They’re capable of putting the rangers away. If all lines can get humming this a quick series. New york hasn’t been as impressive as I thought they were.
Have to give credit to Zucker today. The guy was not afraid to hit anyone in a rags uniform.

Proud of the guys. They played an impressive third period. Letang needs to dumb down his game. The Rags are too fast to be fancy with them. Glad to see Malkin step it up and back-check. We need him to play hard and smart. Sid is playing a silent, but deadly game. He's a machine behind the net with his control.
I like that for the most part this is the Pens series to lose. They’re handling the physicality. The superstars may not be putting up the points but they are impacting.
Sid was on another level in the 3rd period. New york had no answer for him.
Malkin despite his frustrating moments, that forecheck to set up Heinen’s goal was much needed.

After the up and down of our game last night i have been watching Boston and Carolina, ESPN coverage is absolutely terrible. So glad I can match up our radio with the game. I thought ESPN coverage of golf was bad lord . Fumble with words miss names of players . I guess when you buy something this is what you get.
I may be biased as a Canadian
but seriously. Download the CBC app. It’s Free and there are lots of live games. With great play by play and commentary. It’s almost impossible for me to watch hockey on an American network.
For you cable cutters..... Download the CBC Gem app as well. Lots of superb programming.
