Please tell me I was having a nightmare and we aren't even thinking of giving Rodgers $45 million per for 2 years! Kahn and team really screwed this one. Even though they have come off their high horse in regard to guaranteed money, they refused to give Fields that and the guarantee he would be in the pole position like Wilson was. And, they decided not to pursue Wilson anymore. How does Rodgers make sense other than they royally screwed up and/or Tomlins man-crush blinded everyone making this decision. This is exactly what I was thinking. Even with Rodgers, they pretty much have to reach this year for a QB. You can't go into the season thinking Rodgers can even make it to or finish one season let alone two. That or they are hoping he gets hurt so they can get a better draft pick next year.

Rodgers is also a statue at his age. How does this make sense for future planning when Tomlin is so enamored with mobile QB's that have mostly taken over the league. Are they going to bring Rudolph back too? He is more mobile than Rodgers by a mile.

I've seen him talk about the value mobile QB's have in today's NFL, but never that he wants one. If he wanted one as badly as some here might say, they wouldn't have lowballed Fields and allowed him to get away. He was the most mobile QB available in FA and the draft by far.

With the offense we run....just go with who we have. Or sign Rudy as you said. No reason to break the bank on a QB in this offense.
