Wow that is a lot of TD's for someone that only has one ring.
Peyton needs his longevity/volume stats because his playoff performance has been atrocious.
Compare his playoff number to our guy who everyone thinks is a great playoff performer. You might be surprised
Funny how I read nothing but "we should have more Superbowls, we have a franchise qb" here, yet then these threads pop up making excuses for a franchise qb, a franchise qb who pretty much hand picked his new team, by the way, and has had two years to get his nice shiny ring, and has failed twice.
But yeah, he's dreamy in the regular season.
Joe
Sure, Peyton would be better off if he had more SB rings but he is still the best QB out there, even at his age. He easily is a top 5 QB of all time (number 1 can be debated in circles so I won't even go there) and will be a lock for a first ballot HOF seat. As much as most on here don't like him, there really is no debating he is a great QB and easily one of the best to ever play the game.
did you see sanders with peyton throwing at him ?
Wallace and Sanders are having solid seasons.
Just imagine if we hadn't f*** our salary cap and we were able to have a WR corp consisting of: Mike Wallace, ABrown, and Manny Sanders...
Well, they did have all three on their roster for 3 seasons along with Ward for 2 of them and managed a SB loss and a round one playoff loss to Tebow.
Hard to blame the WR corp when Tebow decided to catch the Holy Ghost all over our defense.
(Tebow stats- 316 Yards, 31.6 YPC )
Most cerebral QB ever.
Marino and Kelly were pretty damn good and have zero rings. Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien, Phil Simms and Doug Williams all do. Rating QBs on how much and what they have won is kinda stupid. It's not anything like pitchers in baseball but people always make the comparison.
does that mean biggest forehead?
Peyton's awesome.
Only 6 points scored through nearly 3 full quarters. One TD catch all game.....by Cotchery. It's not that I'm blaming those guys, it's more of a frustration that the coaching staffs (both Arians and Haley) could not figure out how to get these guys in the endzone enough to make a difference. And it's a problem that certainly still exists today for the current group.
Have to cram all those brains somewhere. I highly doubt Peyton isn't an offensive coordinator the day after he retires (if he wants) and a head coach within 3-5 years. The dude loves football so even though he could walk away I just don't see it.
