Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's...........week 13 @ Bungles....

CAIII deserves a game ball for making another big play and taking two big hits and holding onto the ball.

Not that it was critical, but Tomlin gets an FU for refusing to do anything about his clock management.

When you look at it through the context that he was likely playing for a field goal try the whole way, his clock management was good. Perhaps exceptional.

FWIW, Najee is 1 of 2 running backs in the top 20with under 4.0 YPC, is tied for the fewest TDs with 3, and has the fewest runs of 20+ yards with 1.
<4 YPC was good enough to get Jerome Bettis, among others, into the HOF. Warren also has 4.0 YPC and isn’t used in short yardage or to run out the clock. There aren’t 19 other backs in the league I would take over Najee, probably closer to 5.

Game ball to this young line stood up for Wilson in this game.
Najee giving his all, Steeler fans at game, players acknowledging the fans after game
The two reporters in Bungalville post-game as the lady said we are witnessing the funeral of the 2024 Bungals
Goat to Porter giving Bungals at the three, three different times
FU to officials 204 accepted penalties...Looking for Porter as well as Pickens to throw the flag.
How long it took this crew to make up their minds on calls

I've been offline for the last couple of weeks but I watch the game after I got back yesterday...

We're rolling and the extra time to put an excellent offensive game plan together showed right from the get go.

George needs to grow up - he did get mauled on that atrocious no call for DPI or illegal use of hands.

JPJ2 is becoming a concern and liability in the secondary - WAAAAAY too many DPI calls over the past 2 weeks.

Neither player deserves an FU but they are getting close.

Now back to the regular 'after a win' bitchfest...

You forgot a game ball for Najee. Running hard with a load in his pants...... that's dedication. Give that man what one can only hope is the one and only Najeh Davenport Dump of the Year Award. The irony of both of them having the same first name(almost)....LOL.

It's at 1:48 Listen as the reporter asks the question he says "chill" makes a face then proceeds to blame it on Muth's girlfriend who made some kind of banana dessert for Thanksgiving. The clue is in him eating oranges which everyone knows is a quick cure. He should not have mentioned the oranges. Still the man carries more than defenders for extra yardage...give him his due:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: When they mention Russ and QBs in the next question he has a funny reaction as he's still pondering how that could happen....LOL.

He said "Jill". That is Muth's GF...

So, you think Najee **** his pants on that run??? How does one **** while running???

Not sure I agree on the Tomlin comment though...

The Steelers beat a division team they were favored to lose to on the road. And somehow Tomlin gets an FU. Only steelers fans can do this

You wouldn’t have like to have seen them take a shot at the endzone?
That's a loaded question...

Of course 7 points is great - but, as you alluded to, managing the clock against a high-powered offense takes precedence.

Personally, I think Coach Tomlin did an 'above the line' job coaching and managing the clock yesterday...

I said it wasn’t critical, but there’s too much that a team can’t control to screw up the things they can control.

If you think about it, The Steelers just went into a shootout and outpaced one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. If you want a ground and pound type of game, the Steelers can do that also. They just showed that they have the weapons to go into any given stadium and beat you anyway they want to.

If Arthur Smith were to install a spider two Y banana play in the red zone with the Justin Fields package it would be a Madden cheat code. Just say'n

I am the biggest Harris critic. Here's my honest take
The stats are not great, Never will be. Harris always plays well against the Bengals.
These last 5 games of the season are pivotal for Najee.
If he can go out there and put up good numbers against good defenses and looks like a top 10 RB he has a strong chance of getting paid like one.
If he underperforms it increases the odds we re sign him for a good price.

Harris has looked up an down this year, Not lighting the world on fire but overall I feel he's playing the best football of his career. His good games have been more frequent and his bad games have still been to frequent and statistically awful. He looks like he plays better at the lower weight, but for a big back he still can't get it done in short yard situations.

Harris will need to play well for us to beat the best teams. I won't bet on it, but I hope I'm wrong

The only FUs should go to the defense, the defensive game plan and our zone D

As bad as the defensive scheme was the offensive scheme was better than the Swiss cheese D

The endless drop offs behind their rush to our RBs, a Muth sighting and George and CA3 making plays all over the place…hell even Van had a big catch at a crucial time. The blocking of Broderick looked pretty solid and was that a game with no penalties for him???

Enjoy the victory

You missed us… come on admit it..😋

Yes, he said Muth's girlfriend made it. It was just funny dude, don't take it the wrong way I love Naj.
Watch the replay when he pulls up on the sidelines....it was a sticky situation. And it happens. Naj is not the only one...back in my full on alcoholic days...I'll just leave it there.

I blame Tomblin for allowing this to happen. ******* Tomblin

"The cork popped out of the champagne bottle...if you will. It was not a time to celebrate though and Naj acknowledges and owns that...we all have to do better to get to the point of the rubber hitting the road....without any skid marks...obviously."

This time of year is Najee’s feasting period. He’s a great cold weather back. He wears on LBs and DBs enough that they just don’t like engaging him late in games.
