Actually, as we saw when AB was handled by HC's other than Tomlin, Tomlin did a fantastic job of dealing with that crazy mother.

When I saw him continue to ***** when he was clearly out of bounds.......I knew there was an issue. There is a reason why they continue to get huge talent at bargain prices in the draft.
I'd part ways with him this offseason. I'm sick of these types of players. DJ didn't have a TD since 2021 and he never did this type of thing. He finally scores a TD after 2 years and Pickens can't even celebrate a little with him? Not even be happy that they actually got the lead? I know I sure as hell wouldn't want a teammate like that. These new aged players are absolute ******* and throw tantrums at any signs of adversity. Get him off the team.
As soon as someone acts petulant or even unhappy in a win its screwed. If he is happier with a personal big game in a loss then no stats in a win.......he is useless.

i think i understand i why. Cause Pickens doesnt suck rather he kinda blows in the outside passing game at his X position.
That throw on the TD is f*cking hilarious. It's HI-larious that fans think that is an easy throw and catch. it's HI-larious that perhaps 99 out of 100 of those types of throws are incomplete. As a fan, i am tired of that ****.
Especially when Pickens SHINES as a slot guy. But, but , but Canada refuses to use the middle of the field. Goddamn is that frustrating. A Pickens Y in an offense directed by a good OC could have so much f*cking YAC it's unreal.

Kinda surprised your defending Pickens here. He had issues coming out of college and has done nothing to show he has matured and is actually getting worse. The team won, had one of their most complete games, and Pickens is whining. The TD throw was a good ball tons of space for an NFL WR to drag the foot their especially with Pickens body control. There is no doubt we should feature him more, but he certainly needs to go about it better. I am not sure why tomlin gets so much credit for AB. It seems he got alot of special treatment. Also with Ben he was getting targets and stats. On other teams that wasnt the case. I dont think tomlin controlled AB as much as AB did what he wanted, then just progessively got worse. Hopefully Pickens gets his head right, but if not I would not trade / cut him. That would be giving into the behavior.

One could tell he was going to be a problem after his first several games in the league. Just the body language when certains things happen or don't happen on the field.
It could be Antonio Brown/Terrell Owens type stuff if he really starts building up money and success in the league.
Kenny is just more comfortable throwing to DJ because he is a far better route runner at this point.
When a team is running the ball well, like the Steelers were last night, it's difficult to feature two receivers, and Pickens still had an opportunity to score a long TD.
He's been open for some big plays over the last two games in which Kenny missed the throw, so there is probably a lot of stuff boiling in his mind right now, but it looks like he's going to be the kind of player for whom nothing is ever good enough.

Not overly defending him as I think they can still behind the scenes address it. Just not sure they need to act on it further than that. Definitely realize the Steelers have an iffy track record of nipping things in the butt quickly.
Good point on the win involvement. That can be preached within the behind the scenes preaching.
If it escalates then yeah I am ok with some punishments.

Nope, DJ didn't sulk at all last year. Instead, he punched Mitch straight in the mouth. Maybe Mitch needed it. Maybe Kenny saw that **** and decided he liked having all his teeth so he better get DJ the ball. Maybe Pickens should just punch Kenny in the mouth since it worked for DJ.

Wrs are notoriously narcissistic. Its the position most likely to prioritize stats and glory over winning. If the damn trade deadline didn’t pass, id just suggest trading him for Addison… he will probably do the same thing two or three years down the road, but at least there is some preexisting relationship with Pickett and the city…
The thing that worries me about Pickens is the “free me” thing… I really believe this might be agent driven.. feeding his ego to get him in a better offense before his first extension… those guys know we often let malcontents walk… i think the fact that this happened right after the trade deadline isn’t a coincidence

If so, his agent is one stupid ************. They do let malcontents walk, but usually not for nothing and usually on terms that are more favorable to them than the buyer. They are not letting an above average to great talent on his rookie deal just walk. If they think it's that bad, they could just suspend him with pay for conduct detrimental to the team and trade his *** after the season.
I have no sympathy for GP. He whined and taunted people last year. He's been doing the same this year since game 1. He just recently started getting flagged. Everyone and their brother knew when DJ came back and got his 8-10 targets per game, GP would throw a hissy fit. DJ runs hard every route and gets open. GP runs hard when he knows the ball is coming his way. He's not open as much as he should be or thinks he is. His game script, etc. would have been a whole lot different if he had been paying attention on the beautiful throw KP gave him in the endzone. It was an easy catch and TD until GP took a full stride instead of tapping his toe 2 or 3 feet in bounds. This isn't going to get better. This is who they said he was coming out of college and he's done nothing to disprove it. As talented as he is, it will be difficult to sign him to a long-term deal in a year from now. I am sure they probably will but hopefully, they have clauses in there for his behavior.
As a late round draft pick, a humble AB behaved himself his first couple of years. As his talent and skills became known, his behavior and increasing sense of entitlement grew regressively worse.... and Tomlin couldn't do a damn thing about it.
Other coaches couldn't either. AB was already a piece of work head case when they got him.
George Pickens was a projected first rounder and is wasting no time being a ********.

Pickens has character issues but he is nowhere near the level of AB character issues. He’ll be fine
