Pittsburgh awarded 2026 NFL Draft

Well, that’s a pretty ignorant thing to do, even for a 17 y/o. Either you weren’t prepared or just didn’t think about making some type of shelter with whatever resources there.
Wasn't planning on having to do it, it just kind of ended up happening. But never again.

So he avoiding to answer the question because he froze in his sleeping bag when he was 55 years old? Is that your assertion? Just checking.

Is is normal for 55 year olds to freeze inside their sleeping bag????

Is that your assertion?

No need to answer, save what little you have left for a freezing raining camping tent-less trip.

I have no problems sleeping in a tent if need be. Age is no factor. I also prefer the cold over the heat when sleeping. Obviously it would be rougher without a tent for weather elements.

Many people of all ages camp in tents you are just a wuss. 😁
you can pee on him to keep him warm

It's just that he refused to answer the simple question on what age he was when his sleeping bag froze. I wonder why?

Playing devil's advocate here. It was stated and confirmed in an answer that this event had taken place at the Grafenwoehr Training site (US Army). Meaning that this occured in his twenties or early thirties more or less. I had my cold weather training in Bodo, Norway during the first ever Battle Griffin exercise in 1994. That is above the Arctic circle and I slept in a snow hole, no tent, just a standard issue cold weather sleeping bag (yes, there is a summer weight sleeping bag) and the Nordlys to keep me entertained. I was 21 years old at the time.

So, with that being said; What does our age have anything to do with freezing sleeping bags in the harsh European winters?

I still winter camp with my zero degree bag and a two person tent to fit my ruck in with me.

Three days with Marines and then, being Air Force, we were put up in a 4 star hotel along the water feasting on whale steaks and reindeer burgers. So, it made up for the three days of shivering. :ROFLMAO:

Sounds like good eating. Yeah I learned to like hot sauce in the field. We needed to add flavor whenever possible.

Ah a 19-year-old, so noted.
I said a hip hop, the hippie to the hippie,
To the hip, hip hop, and you don't stop, a rock it
To the bang bang boogie, say, up jump the boogie,
To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat

He was 19, not 55. It all makes sense.

Uhuh I would have no issues sleeping in any weather. You might want to consider turning in your man card.

Speaking of rooms..
There used to be a couple of rooms above the Purgatory that I used on occasion back in the day..
Maybe their still available?
Room amenities were always generous..
just saying ..
