Pittsburgh Dad Ravens edition

Any resemblance to persons living or dead is a dirty shame. All kidding aside does this guy remind you of someone that lived next door or down the street?

that is great !!! Love the Christmas references ...

I like PGH Dad he reminds me of guys from the neighborhood I grew up in Beechview and could likely be anywhere in the 'Burgh really The humor, oh well look for it and it's funny. I shared this url with co-workers here in Ratland. They're not impressed and don't even think Dad is funny at all! Oh well FAK 'em.

No fake laughter here, all gut wrenching, from the source!!!

The laugh track is a throw back to another era, which was quite common at one time, if you are old enough for it to be nostalgic it adds to the video.

About half the dads in my neighborhood, yes.

He reminds me of both my parents (one grew up in Dravosburg and one in West Mifflin). I grew up in Penn Township.

My dad is from South Hills but other than saying "warsh" his accent isn't too strong.

M.A.S.H. used a laugh track, if you're old enough to remember M.A.S.H.

I got the biggest laugh with him showing up at the neighbors door, **** eating grin, and #7 shirt. The other jokes just make me smile.

Sounds like a recorded laugh track to me.

As others have said, that's the whole point. It's supposed to be a cheesy laugh track because so many comedy sitcoms had them back in the day. Hell every cartoon had one too.

Did you graduate from Penn-Trafford? I'm a 1976 grad.

Thanks Wingman, yes I am old enough and yes I get the laugh track. I was just saying MY laughter was coming from my gut and very hard at that. I enjoy Pittsburgh Dad and even though I've never lived there, I get and enjoy the humor very much. Still smiling

That was fun. Loved the Frosty reference...funny.

I keep going back and watching that damn video. Then I began watching some other ones. The zoo, Kennywood, heat, light switches, Hines Ward, parent teacher conference, black Friday, this guy is just killing me. My wife and I watched it and she can't remember who he reminds her of but feels like she has known someone just like him. It is particularly funny if you have ever been in the area and been to the places he talks about and goes to.

The Kennywood trip reminded me of an amusement park trip with my kids years ago. I can not remember if it was Kennywood or Six Flags at this time but my son was in college and my daughters were in high school. We were strung out along the walk way and the girls found one of those things that you pick up a big hammer and hit the base of this thing and drive a slide to the top and it rings the bell. The petite girls were talking to the kid running the stand and wanted to know what they win if they get the bell to ring. The kid looked very pleased and showed different prizes for each ring of the bell up to a really large stuffed thing for three rings and you got three tries for a dollar. The two girls each bought a ticket and called their brother over. He weighed a bit over 270 lbs at the time and when taking a physical he was determined to be 90 lbs over weight based on the height and weight charts, they offered him a caliper test for body fat as an alternative, they finished up by saying he did not have to loose any weight as he had a very low body fat amount. Now you get the picture of what happened when the girls told their brother what they wanted him to do.

Six swings six loud clangs that drew a crowd every time it was hit, I thought the only thing that would save the kid from giving out the toys would be if it broke from the impact. The girls walked away with Giant stuffed animals and dad got to carry the damn things around all day.
