I'm just pointing out that yours doesn't make any sense.

No, I'm not saying "Yours is wrong because mine is right." I'm saying yours is very loosely constructed and not grounded in reality. The entire team played very poorly. Ben tossed away the ball twice, and was unable to score points, in the first half we had 6 points! The defense stopped Brezze on a number of occasions but the offense stunk the place up, not scoring until garbage time. Had the Saints not dropped 3 possible interceptions Ben could have thrown 5 today, 5 interceptions. Ben was not the only player on the Steelers that seemed like they had looked past this game, there were also missed blocks, and drops by receivers that should have been catches.

The only positive both the Ravens and the Browns lost today keeping us all at 7 and 5. And with some work the Steelers can still fight their way to 8 and 8 so we can not have a loosing season.

Ben over threw a lot of plays early in this game and was pressing. The running games was working early but Adams was a turnstile on pass blocking early and that got Ben out of sync. I blame Ben, Adams and all of our DB's. I thought the team actually came to play early and was hurt by the above mentioned. We sometimes seem to do better if we come out and get our nose bloodied early then settle down. when we get an early lead we seem to get overconfident.

This game would have been 100% different if Antonio brown threw one downfield block on that pass to bell. (he didn't even try) Bell would have scored. Instead we flounder in red zone,, shoot foot... rinse repeat.

Does it matter? We really have to sweep the Bungles at this point. Perhaps if we play all teams with winning records from here on out we can make the playoffs. But give us one turd in the playoffs and we are done.

As it turns out, all the garbage time scoring we did enabled me to get 26 pts from Ben. Brees got me 31. So, that wasn't as bad as it seemed earlier.

I said it and I stand by it. Another question would be ... Why is damned near every game a bad game for our defense? If Ben has had five bad games over this season, you'd want the defense to be able to carry them for let's say two (at a minimum). We don't have that luxury with this defense because if the offense is off, by even a little, our defense can't/won't hold to keep the game close.

Mike Mitchell and his always out of position play. Cam Thomas whose new nickname should be "Trucked". The collection of Island Of Misfit Toys cornerbacks. Do you really think they've had more good games, above the line games than not? No. This defense sucks at a historical level.

On the Pom Pom side of it, I saw Garvin all over the field on special teams. He's a name I forgot about, wonder if he's just lost in the platoon of LBers ahead of him ? I didn't see the Shark do anything special and McCullers was invisible too. We desperately need some yout to fill a bunch of slots very soon.

Oh yeh, I think it's time to start grooming Ben's heir.
