Andrew is right. Players have to execute.

Idiot is right though, too. Tomlin just isn't getting it done.

However, if finally everybody on this board agrees that Tomlin sucks and needs to go, where does that leave us?

Exactly !!

To whoever said "I expect the defense to carry the team when the QB has a bad game, they all do"

Why is our franchise QB having a bunch of bad games?

Because our OL has been playing like **** in pass protection. Jordan was in Ben's face all game, the Jets were all over Ben (and the gameplan fed right into that), even the Titans were in Ben's face throughout the game. They started the year off looking improved in both pass protection and run blocking, and lately they have only been able to run block. Ben missed some throws, some of that can be attributed to his wrist getting hit, others can be attributed to him forcing throws because we were down. I don't blame him at all for the tipped pass that Jordan caught, that's 100% Mike Adams, it's a three step drop you have to hold your block for ONE second and you can't even do that.

Thats your opinion.

Is this your new argument? Is this how you are going to get around being wrong?

No im not arguing with him anymore. How long as we going to argue the same thing?? Really not that hard to see.

As far as being right or wrong... Thats a matter of opinion. Im not the only guy who feels this way. Whether its Tomlin or any other coach. When i player drops a ball my first thought isnt wow his WR coach sucks. Sorry

O, boy. I don't think I have ever seen a guy get protected like Benny.

Titans game. Notice about mid-3rd, when the dummy finally got the hint they are blitzing every down and started to throw to the blitz side to Bell. All it took was a couple of times, and everything opened up.

The tipped pass? Adams had him blocked. He jumped up and tipped the ball. Adams mistake was not going low to bring his hands down. However, I guess it is too much to ask for the 6'5" QB to throw over a lineman.

The Jets game, I will use one example I can remember. He has all ******' day to throw, and decides to airmail one to Wheaton that gets picked. Meanwhile, Brown is over along the sideline so wide open the little neighbor kid Harley could've thrown it over there.

Ben was high and ****** before he got his hand hit.

It is time that he quits getting protected. That is fine for you to do it, as it has no impact. The coaches need to demand more from him, and not put up with this "we left plays on the field" bullshit.

An argument goes two ways. You repeating "It's the player's fault" with no reasoning behind it isn't making an argument. It's just saying stuff with no support.

I think that if Tomlin forfeited a game that we were leading 49-3, you'd blame someone else. I think if he traded Bell and Brown to Baltimore for Taliaferro and Jacoby Jones, then admitted publicly it was his decision, you'd call it a strong move. It's the players, it's the GM, IT'S BEN ROETHLISBERGER'S FAULT!!

i'm sure some dipshits would have us trade for the caucasian version of tomlin

which would be who?

well, as far as I know, there is only one current NFL coach who's being rumored to be traded in the off-season.
i guess his fanboys would say he has value.

I don't think it counts as an "ignore" list when you still post/respond to the person constantly.

How do you coach up talent that doesn't exist? Which players from either front start anywhere else? Pouncey, DD, Timmons and maybe Heyward or Tuitt? Games are still won in the trenches. 6 first and 5 second round picks on OL, DL and LB over the last 8 years have amounted to piss poor pass protection, mediocre run blocking and no pass rush. Who's fault is that?

I believe Tomlin got paid for those decisions.

Sorry about that.

The new turf looked great.
