Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

Going from possibly the 2nd overall pick to mid 5th round will take some air out of the ballon. Possibly humble you perhaps. Then again training camp hasn't even started yet. There is still time for the circus to come to town.

Players drop in the draft every year for different reasons. Take Pickens for example. Not even on our team now. Maybe Sanders turns into an all pro. SB winning QB. Multiple MVP winner. We will see.

You’re not familiar with the Johnny Manziel circus, the Deshaun Watson circus, and to a lesser extent the Baker Mayfield circus?

Focusing on the needs of a team resulted head cases like Antonio Brown, Dionte Johnson, and Pickens.
 
All of the media agitators are getting old acting like the Steelers don't have a plan at QB and are getting hammered for not taking a QB in the draft that everyone else passed on multiple times including the Stains.

For better or worse, Rodgers, in my opinion, is going to be the QB and has been the unofficial QB since before the draft. If I had to bet why he hasn't signed yet, it's because Rodgers does not want to have to go through what he did last June with the media after missing mandatory mini camp for a planned personal vacation.

He's like a lot of veterans that wait to sign every year, or hold out, until after all the early season voluntary and mandatory camp stuff is over. I expect Rodgers to be a Steeler before they head to camp in July and this probaby has been the plan with team ownership and management all along since before Wilson signed with the Giants.

Just imagine....if all of this happens.....Tomlin will be scrambling to bring him onboard. He will be the missing piece for us to be SB contenders. Or so have have been told in the past on stuff like this. 🤔

Not to absolve Tomlin completely but Tannehill did only throw for 72 and 88 yards in those games. 45 of those yards was on one play against the Ravens. I would say those wins were more on the back of Henry then Tannehill.

Nick Foles is an anomaly in this equation. He was fortunate not to see his first action that season til week 15. If I'm not mistaken he only played one quarter of wk 16. IMO defenses at that time hadn't seen him enough to make adjustments needed to stop the run he would eventually go on. I would say if he had played at least 1/2 the regular season we wouldn't know Foles for being anything other than a QB with an abysmal record as a starter. When teams had enough tape on him his career pretty much ended. Timing meant everything in that championship run.

As for O'Donnell and Kordell I got nothing for ya other than this...dare I say both were better QBs then the Steelers have had as a starter since end of 2018 season. That would include washed up Ben 2019 and beyond. Who would argue??

The NFL/Roger Goodall sure threw a poison dart at the Sanders, not that they didn't deserve it. Deion/Sheduer just got way too big for themselves. The NFL sure wanted to end them.

If something happened to Mahomes, Allen, Hurts, or any other QB on a team truly contending in the camps and OTAs coming up and Rodgers phone rang he would dump the Steelers like a bad habit.

The front office hitching its wagon to the idea Rodgers is eventually/hopefully signing here and having roughly $25 million in cap space in late May is inexcusable, if we don’t have one of the worst QB rooms in the league we’re close, all with the front office spouting off we’re prepared to compete now…pathetic

They all passed on Brock Purdy and Tom Brady multiple times too ***** boy so yeah it's possible for all them to be wrong. Before you go and say they didn't have a first rd grade that should be telling in itself. This was less about his abilities and more so about the personalities in play. The league wanted to send a message to him and too any future prospects like him. In other words his dropping to the 5th rd was completely personal.

What now sack of ****????

Possible, yes, probable not so much.

It is possible that the Steelers will be hoisting their 7th Lombardi next February as well.
