Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

The only stat that really matters right now, is NO PLAYOFF WINS in the past 8 seasons. Only 3 in the past 14 seasons.

And of those 3 playoff wins, one was a gift by the Bengals being the idiots they are and the other 2 the Steelers beat scrub quarterbacks.

This paints a pretty sad picture, but it's truth . They celebrate the mediocrity of .500 now like it's some type of great accomplishment.

Then when I hear "we're chasing championships here" I just chuckle. No you're not. There's been absolutely no progression towards that at all. It's all been downhill since 2010.

They couldn't do **** with Ben,Brown and Bell in their prime.

That defense will get exploited by elite teams every single time anyway.

I have asked by A I buddy IZ to chime in on it,”

Mike Tomlin’s Playoff Record Overview (as of end of 2024 season):

  • Playoff Appearances: 11 (in 17 seasons)
  • Playoff Record: 8 wins – 10 losses
  • Super Bowl Appearances: 2
  • Super Bowl Wins: 1 (SB XLIII, 2008 season)
  • Last Playoff Win: 2016 season (beat the Chiefs in the Divisional Round)
  • Recent Playoff Drought:
    • 0 playoff wins since January 2017
    • Last 4 playoff games = 4 straight losses by a combined margin of 100-49

😤

Where the Frustration Comes From

  1. Postseason Drought:
    • Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff game in 7 seasons, despite multiple appearances.
    • Steelers fans aren’t used to that — Pittsburgh expects postseason wins, not just appearances.

  2. “One-and-Done” Syndrome:
    • Steelers have been one-and-done in 5 of Tomlin’s last 6 playoff appearances.
    • Losses to inferior-seeded or underwhelming teams sting more (e.g., 2020 loss to the Browns at home).

  3. Wasting Prime Talent:
    • Killer B’s era (Ben, Bell, Brown) saw huge offensive stats, but little postseason success.
    • Fans feel like that window should’ve produced more than one AFC Championship Game appearance.

  4. Game Prep & In-Game Adjustments:
    • Critics say Tomlin-led teams sometimes play down to opponents or come out flat in big games.
    • The Browns’ 2020 Wild Card beatdown (28–0 early!) still haunts the fanbase.

Under this regime, I don’t see a Super Bowl contender.

All I see is a team going all in to try and get that 1 playoff win.

Salute the nation

That’s what this season is all about for the Mike
Get that 1 elusive win

Then he can preach that indeed his system works 🤦🏻‍♂️

Mike and Aaron are “all in” together all in for 1 win

Exactly. I don't see that playoff win happening this year though.

If he doesn’t we sure do.
The stage was set against the Cowboys we had solved their running game and Kirkland had busted through and sacked Aikman before the punt and the Steelers had all the momentum and really should have won that game. The Cowboys won that game running on fumes at the end.

The scary thing is that mentally Art could give Shades a de facto 10 year extension with just one 15-14 playoff victory.

Up until that game the AFC was getting blown out in Super Bowls. The same outcome was expected.
It wasn’t until the four time SB winner Steelers showed up that gave respectability back to the AFC.

My god imagine the legacy of this team had they broke through and won that game. Dammit!

I would venture to guess…80 to 90 percent of those wins were less than one score games..
Could be wrong but that seems like it was..
Doubt it was that high, but don't know and don't care. Doesn't change the fact he was almost perfect with an 11 point lead. Guess it comes down to your definition of stomping opponents. I think being pretty much unbeatable when up by 11 fits.
