Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

I think the Steelers know A-aron's answer.

I also think the Steelers have protected themselves from day one when they signed Red Nose early in the FA start. All else fails they can go into the season with him. They know he isn't the answer but also think he can get to the magic 9-win season.

I don't know if there is a whole big difference in the Dart vs Sanders end game ability in the NFL. I think we would take either should the pick present itself.

DIC ..
Aligned with most of that except for Rudy moving us to 9 wins..
Ain’t going to happen .. and that’s alright with me!
😉

I don't know why everyone seems to compare Milroe to Jackson. I mean, I get it, both are "athletic" QBs. But Jackson seems to be much more special. Much MORE athletic. And he's proven he can pass a bit. Over 4,100 yards and 41 TDs proves he's a little bit more than Milroe will be.
Jackson may be special now.
But in his first couple of years you and others were pretty convinced that Jackson was nothing but a running back trying to play QB.
Shirley you remember that.

So you think Steelers aren't gonna wins another "Tomlinson award." (non-losing record)

Rodgers is basically holding out for that 10% chance that the Vikings will change their minds on him before either "settling" for the one team that actually wanted him all along or retiring.

I'm honestly starting to think he's leaning more toward retirement as time passes, especially if he has serious doubts about having a shot at the Superbowl with the Steelers (which would honestly be a fair assessment on his part.)

He doesn't need the money, and people who think he's not big enough of a douche to perhaps drag his decision out into the summer are naive, especially if the Steelers (looking at Tomlin) gave him any indication that they're desperate enough to wait.

Enough is enough with Rodgers. Every passing day drags the Steelers organization further to being a pure laughing stock. Tomorrow has to be the deadline. Move on already. The fans don't want Rodgers and this spectacle is doing permanent damage to the Steelers brand and organization. I would much rather go with Rudolph than Rodgers.

My name isn't Shirley, but I do remember that.................... !!!

Home page article as A-aron was on the Pat McAfee show this morning.

Rogers talks about continually being transparent with the teams he has been talking to, that includes the Steelers.

He also says it isn't about the money and that he would play for $10 mill a season.

His hang up is deciding if he wants to play or hang em up. He says he's going through a lot of personal stuff and if he plays he wants it to be a full commitment to play.

He also says he means no disrespect to any players or teams.

Good read, but one must decide how much is BS / arrogance considering the player involved.

Well, when your HC is nicknamed "Clown-lin," your team regularly causes things to laugh at, and he is, right on cue. This organization is a laughing stock right now, with Rogers being the focus of that stock.

I don't understand what is so bad about the Rodgers thing? The deadline should be the draft. If he hasn't decided before the draft then the offer should be off the table. Even so I do not think we pass on Dart if he is there. If Rodgers signs after the draft, the only one getting screwed will be Mason. Ultimately what Rodgers does or doesn't do is not really effecting the team. Maybe the Watt contact is being held up, but if they use the draft as a deadline they have plenty of time to get watt sorted out or they could just do Watts contract and tell Rodgers this is what we have left. If he takes it fine, if not that is fine too.

You are the only idiot that calls him that. Can't really say it is his nickname.

The city of Pgh has spoken: No one cares if Rogers comes onboard, most prefer he does not. He and Clown-lin can take a jump into the Allegany and suck in that stink water and choke on it. I'd got to a game played by Mason, I wouldn't go to a Rogers' game.

A crazy thought just came to me. Could the Steelers intentionally ne working with Rodgers to delay the announcement until after the draft to keep teams guessing on what they are doing, all the while knowing they have him already?

you don’t think we are a bit more agressive in drafting a QB if he isn’t coming? And to that fact if he isn’t signed and someone wants a QB they be more motivated to make a move over us to get one? I think his status absolutely impacts the draft in multiple ways. Either way we likely draft a QB but it could impact where we draft one.
No. He's old and another year closer to being washed up. If there is a QB the Steelers love in the first, they'll take him with or without Rodgers. If they don't like the QBs, they'll pass. We also saw that the Steelers didn't take a super early despite needing one.

Tomlin said a couple weeks ago that training camp was the deadline. He’s holding out for his man crush even if it means scrapping everything they did in the offseason before that and pulling the rug out from under Mason and the rookie.

I for one don't love any of the QBs in the first. Maybe in the second if we had a second. We have to go DL ,RB in either order with BPA between them. I would double dip at DL with a nose type later in the draft. With 9 RB and 9 DL visits I think they are thinking the same thing I am thinking, I think.

Like most older vets with the option, Rodgers is going to want to skip all the early season mandatory and "non-mandatory" workouts before he officially signs anywhere. It's also the first time he's been a free agent in his career. I'm sure he's taking is time to enjoy that.

I don't get why so many people are upset with the guy about supposedly dragging things out with the Steelers. It's not on him if the team decides to do nothing if they really are waiting on him. He has never said he was coming to the Steelers in public that I'm aware of. Just because bloggers and media think it's his second best option for this year doesn't mean he's forced to sign or is doing the team dirty by not already signing.

I still think Rodgers has an agreement in place with the Steelers with the understanding that he will sign at some point before training camp. The lack of the Steelers doing much, and letting Wilson leave to sign a cheap deal with the Giants tells me there is more fire than smoke with the Rodgers rumors.

I was out on him before, but man, you just can not sign a dude that does not know if his body is good and doesn't feel like he can make the commitment to his football team.

That's a dude that has retired but hasn't admitted it to himself yet.

Move on asap.

I'm not going to lose any sleep either way, but I do hope he signs if he's still got something in the tank. If not retire. If yes, I'll wager he will be the best QB the Steelers have had play for them in at least the last five years. The last couple of years Ben played were a shadow of his former self. That's a pretty low bar I get that, but it will at least guarantee another "winning season" ;)

I thought the entire WR fiasco last season was horrible. Now this.

Agreed on the Rudolph angle over Rodgers also.

Milroe has a huge arm, is really athletic and has issues reading Ds quickly and throwing with accuracy. While there are guys who have been able to be fixed with years of coaching, typically that is the recipe for a draft bust. The theory is big armed athletic QBs dont really develop enough as a passer in college because of their running ability, then often fall back on that too much early in their careers to flesh out the more important throwing side..

To be fair, the guys who have gotten over inaccuracy issues once getting to the NFL werent as raw as Milroe will be... Allen had some fundamentals in place, as did Lamar... and it still took Lamar like 5 years to develop enough for the ratbirds to move away from that goofy simplified O they were running for him.. Hurts had inaccuracy problems he overcame, but his coaching staff and systemwere light years ahead of ours...

I dont doubt someone could mold Milroe into something, but I absolutely doubt we will...

Sanders is a pocket thrower already... id be concerned about his pocket presence early... but he is accurate and has the fundamentals of a pro passer down..

And Prime would give him
Access to coaches (outside the Steelers organization) to refine his craft as the last thing he wants is his kid being a bust

As I can clearly read your question of post, I am amidst a time dimension never seen before by modern man kind.

I have full sound mind and my Clairvoyance is in tact but due to the dimension, I cannot respond in terms that the underlings here can decipher and understand.

My airplane has been fully fueled with this dimension fuel so better performance will be inherent to the ability of the pilot. Translated, ONLY I will have the skills needed to fly it, your lessons and joy-stick riding will be put on delay until the effects of said gasoline wear off.

Keep faith, always have a flare gun ready, know you are considered worthy.
