Riots in Charlotte, NC after police shoot armed black man

12 officers injured as Charlotte, N.C., erupted into a riot Tuesday night after hundreds of people gathered to protest the fatal shooting of a black man.

"The subject got back out of the vehicle armed with a firearm and posed an imminent deadly threat to the officers who subsequently fired their weapon striking the subject," police said.

“We out like the Taliban!” one rioter could be heard crying on a Facebook Live broadcast of the protests, shortly after tear gas canisters were fired into the crowd. After 11 p.m., the situation grew more severe, with several people successfully trashing a police SUV.

I did not waste an hour of my life watching the ignorant, stupid, ill-informed and rude jackasses yelling at the police. But I recommend everybody who has offered an observation in any of the police shooting threads just jump in anywhere in the video and watch for 5 minutes.

The idea that it is the police who are out of control is ludicrous. The citizens of this country are out of control. and have been for some time.

And I, having the victim's last name as first and middle as last, will remain in extremely rural Minnesota.

Our crimes are domestic (too much to drink) disturbances or some Meth Head getting popped. Violence around here is on TV only, or two hours away in a Mall.

The rioters don't care that the guy was armed nor that the cop is black. They’re just looking for any excuse to play victim, blame whitey, and exercise their anger with looting.

This particular shooting was likely justified. he had a gun and failed to heed instructions. they gave him multiple chances to comply. This isnt riot worthy by any means

Here was the first thing you heard from every journalist rushing to be among the first to tell the story. “Police shoot unarmed black man.”

So off they go with the early reporting. Never mind the cops’ side of the story. Never mind if those first things you heard turned out to be true. Run with it first and keep an eye on where things go.

Then there were other early-emerging stories, like the one that claimed the “unarmed black man” was retreating and had his hands up, but they shot him anyway. You know the media. This is what they’re hearing, it fits their narrative of racist killer cops, and more importantly, it will bring about the one thing they want more than anything else in this world: Race riots!

Charlotte Leader Warns that Violence Will Not Stop Until Things Change

Religious leaders in Charlotte, North Carolina are no longer condemning violent protests, but instead are warning that if things do not change between the government and African-Americans, more violence will ensue. One pastor also called for an economic boycott throughout the city.

"We are watching a modern day lynching," he said. "If we don't get justice, this is what you see (referring to the violent protests Tuesday night) and you are going to see more of that. And we are not going to tell are brothers and sisters to stop."

I must say though. Where have all the real cops gone? You know, the ones who used to take down suspects without using a gun? Heck, it wasn’t long ago that nearly every pick-up truck in America had a gun rack in the back window. How in the world did cops keep from shooting everyone back then?

Well people didnt go into every situation looking to escalate on both sides back then.. Now everyone thinks disrespect and disobedience is murder worthy... That true for many cops and people in general too
