Roethlisberger ‘Disappointed’ in AB

Everyone knew Ben was going to Brown on that next play to appease the tantrum, and he did. I see this week being Brown-focused.

Jalen Ramsey will be matched up with him. I doubt they focus on Brown this week. He will likely have a rough day.

Agreed, that's definitely a tough match-up and i would hope they recognize that, but still think he forces the ball to him. Heck, I think he was triple covered on the play I referenced from last week. Should be interesting to watch it unfold either way.

Media loves to hark and report.

I think this is overblown.

Although the team doesn't want the negative press that a tantrum brings.

Hopefully AB is one and done with the tantrums for the season.

I will say this team does seem to get distracted a little too easily.

Point a finger where you like.

AB needs to keep his mind off stats and just have singular focus of what he can do to win every play and not worry about past missed plays...good advice for anyone on a TEAM. If he.got tripled teamed all day and had zero catches, but the result was a game of 10 on 8 football where the backs and other receivers go ape **** piling up stats for the win he should just be happy for the win...but that's not AB. Great receiver, probably in the top 3 (because of his connection with Ben) but there are times when he needs to just zip it and learn how to be a HOF team mate.

Uh! Not really! Tomlin made a quick comment about not being his first rodeo and be a professional. About as good as you can expect from Tomlin.

Ben: had a 5 minute sound bite on it. Even made the comment which surprised me, that Heath Miller would never act that way. Ben was more vocal about a player than I’ve ever heard him. Said it was unfortunate he acted that way. That we’re all competitors and we all want the ball. This won’t sit well with Brown.

Actually i think Tomlin handled it better then Ben. Everything Ben said should have been and hopefully was said directly to Brown airing it out to the media wasnt necessary.

Was not shown on TV but I hope Tomlin took Brown aside and had a good father son talk. Brown is good but he needs to understand he is not the only player on this team and a win is more important than his selfish stats.

Of course Tomlin is in the right and Ben is wrong 🙄

It's ok for AB to show Ben up on the field, but how dare Ben ever be a little critical of AB. Ben also said AB is the best wr in the nfl.

I think Ben is just frustrated and doesn’t think it necessary or conducive to reaching the ultimate goal of this football team.
Talking to the selfish and immature Brown doesn’t seem to work. Ben has said they’ve had talks about his actions in the past. You would think Tomlin spoke to him as well but doesn’t seem to get through.
Maybe it’s time the real leader of this football team, Ben opens up and in public.
I like what Brown can do on the field but as a person, he’s all about himself and his numbers. I’m glad Ben opened up about it. Let’s hope it sinks in.

I also agree that it was handle "publicly" better by Tomlin than Ben..

These matters need to be keep private...with only just enough info made publicly to avoid further issues..

Everyone saw what Brown is without Ben. AB is a real talent but minus his HOF QB he would not be remotely close to the player he currently is. That is a fact. He needs to quit whining and play team first football. Glad Ben called him out....that display was ridiculous....me, me, me.

You don't think that hasn't happened so many times already? It obviously doesn't work, so time to try something different.
So Ben saying it was disappointing is worse than Tomlin calling AB unprofessional?

And can you list any reason why talking about it in depth two days later is beneficial to anyone.

He was asked point blank about it, as was Tomlin.

Simple short and sweet just like Tomlin. Next question..not get in depth about the whole thing. Not getting into what defense they were on and his read in the play. Simple Brown was wrong and he knows next question. End it. Now it goes back to Brown and maybe Haley about what his read was and on and on.

Simple short and sweet? Did you listen to Tomlins presser?
Again Ben was asked about the play, but I know by saying what happens on that play it makes AB look worse. Again it's fine for AB to show up his QB and act like a tool, but Ben better not dare say a word. Foster told the morning show he pulled AB aside and told him to calm down, Ryan Clark was pretty hard on AB as well, but the HOF QB he showed up just needs to zip it.

The ball hit him right in the hands on that play too. Sometimes you have to throw it up and let your play makers make plays.

Yes i did. He was unprofessional and knows bettter next question.. Foster i talked to HIM. Ryan Clark is in the media not sure what he has to do with it. Yes answer the question and move on. Not breakdown the play what defense they were in and all that. What purpose does it serve??

I find it funny that people are coming down on Ben when AB that has been doing this act of his for years now. Miller told him to shut the **** up one year. Sad really. AB's act is old. He is a great player but horrible teammate. Just imagine how his act will be when the next QB is leading our team that isn't named Big Ben. I don't know about you but I can't wait. SMH

Two wrongs dont make it right.. dont fan the flames. If the media wants a story tell them to ask AB

So basically just let AB be a douche, but don't dare say anything about it?

How does it benefit anyone by showing up the QB on the field and throwing a water cooler?
Maybe talking about it two days later takes the emotion out of it. Maybe talking about it will make AB grow up.

Tomlin said way more than that. He said it could have a negative impact on the team, he said this isn't ABs first rodeo, meaning not the first time he acted like a tool, called him unprofessional.

I think AB needs to reel it in too, if he can pair his talent with a business-like, team-first attitude, he could be the GOAT.

That being said, I hope Ben is looking at his own level play with the same critical eye. He has the right attitude, but he could play better. He DID miss an easy TD on that play, regardless of AB's response to it

I've tried to give drew the benefit of the doubt, but he's not even trying to hide it anymore. Ben has one major flaw in his eyes and their isn't a damn thing he can do to fix it.

Seriously smh. I dont have any problems with Ben except playing at the level of the other franchise QBs consistenly. Taking what is there. Because that is what separates him from those guys. Take whats there
