Rudolph is NOT the answer.

So here’s the thing. We just suck on O. Period. Can we put up more than 20 points from offense??? We **** the bed time and time again. The Def steps up, gives us position, and …said bed. After time the Def caves from being on the field and we end up in the **** shows we see.

The 2 min left and let’s see what happens. The offense, with BB or other sucks *** right now period.
Ben has like 4 fourth-quarter comebacks this year.

It would have been nice if the other players stepped up so he didn't have to be perfect(which he was far from). Aside from Harris and dare, I say McCloud we had a bunch of players underperform.
Exactly. He wasn't great but he sure didn't blow the game. The rookie inexperienced center his wide receivers and TE as well as losing his guards cost the offense a lot. The defense lost ther **** for half the game before pulling their panties back up and losing Watt hurt big time. Pierre did ok in place of Haden.

Easy to blame rudolph.

Maybe we add some culpability to:

Danny Smith. Special teams were really special today. As in retarded. Thank you pressley harvin for being a hoss and making that tackle.

Kendrick Green with some super high snaps. One that went over rudolph and killed our good field position and led to punt.

Devin Bush: Pathetic. I cant think of a worse linebacker past or present Add on his holding call when minkah got that pick.

Kevin Butler or Tomlin. Idk who is setting the defense but the failure to adjust and mitigate is ridiculous

Matt Canada: The play calling is just bad. Make it worse by having rudolph throw 50 times hot off the bench , while we are running on ave. 4 ypc.

The O line. Harris had a 100 yd game today in spite of your sorry *****. Gel time is over fellas. Lets get Haeg/ Hassenaur/ or banner in here .

Kudos to the TE coach. **** you to canada for not using them properly.... (shane Falco)

Oh,, btw.

Last week vs Bears: , Ben was:

21 / 30 205 yds 2 TD, 0 int.

This week, with 1 day notice Rudolph:

39/50 242 yds 1 TD, 1 INT. oh and he ran 4 times for 36 yds.

No, he wasn't. He wasn't great, but the difference between his game today and what Ben normally gives us these days was not all that dissimilar. Missed passes, near interceptions, you know, a typical Steelers offense. Not really sure what people expected. He's a back up for a reason.
I think there was some hope he could show he could be a stopgap starter next year. He appears to have maxed out exclusively as a backup QB.

Good to hear.
Yeah he's a backup for a reason, but so was Bret Favre, Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Steve Young, Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers, Jeff Hostetler, and others going way back like Jim Plunkett. Terry Bradshaw split time in his rookie season.

It would be nice to know how those guys performed as backups when duty called.

But what we do know of Bradshaw is that he sucked donkey dick.

Bradshaw became a starter in his second season after splitting time with Terry Hanratty in his rookie campaign. During his first few seasons, the 6'3", 215-pound quarterback was erratic, threw many interceptions.
It took Bradshaw several seasons to adjust to the NFL,
Bradshaw temporarily lost the starting job to Joe Gilliam in 1974,

I can and will agree with this entire post. Spot on.

Comparing Rudy to a bunch of HOFers or soon-to-be HOFers.....well is kind of funny. And yeah I know a few of those guys aren't and won't be HOFers.

Counterpoint: Rudolph is not the answer but our coaches never gave him a chance (today).

I most definitely think we can put up more points, but not with these plays and playcalling. At what point do the Steelers notice that they are handcuffing themselves?
Yes. Here. Playcalling. Dink and dunk for nothing. Short to go…deep. Punt. Repeat.

No middle throws. No slants, no TE mid. Yes playcalling

Thanks for proving my point. Most those games we didn’t do **** till (see in my post) 2min
Well, your post was kind of hard to understand. So I am glad I proved your point. Because you surely didn't. :)

What!!! That was a very clear, mid day drunk after game post….our O sucks. Lol. Sorry I’ll be clearer next time or go full on lord like Wig. 😂

What?
Them being HOF'ers is after the fact.

I was questioning how those guys played as backups...could have any of them sucked too?

Bradshaw was really bad.

Come on man. I am sure I could pick 100s of backups who have done worse than Rudy did, but your argument is to pick a few HOFers who were backups. A few soon-to-be HOFers who were backups. A few first-rounders who were backups. Just a stupid post.

C'mon man. They weren't HOF'ers when they were back ups. But you knew they would be? What the **** is the matter with you?

Definitely a bad showing. He actually started off doing very well. The pick was pretty bad and then it went south fast. 0-8 team with a crap defense he should have been able to pick them apart better. Missing that open guy in the end zone hurt bad. Unfortunately, this team is so bad and mismanaged that I don’t think it mattered who was QB.

Mason is a backup for a reason, but some think he is the heir apparent to Ben. This is what his 3rd or 4th year and he does 0 to show me he will be a franchise QB. I do not see much improvement from yr 2 till now. He had extended starting time when Ben was injured along with other games here and there. I would say his ceiling is an average at best backup. He is not very mobile, not very accurate, and low football IQ. The weather was bad and play calling was bad, but when the play was there he missed it more times than not. DJ was open along the sideline too high, RB was open threw it right to the other team, ray ray wide open throws it in the dirt, DJ wide open for big play maybe TD fires a super rocket wide etc etc....He did not lose the game himself, but he certainly could have done a lot better.

You also forgot not once was he under center. that I can remember

Our genius coaches had him throw the ball 50 ******* times when our run game was working. Our defense got ***** slapped by a winless team for over 200 yards rushing. yeah, our backup QB is at fault. Get out of here with that bullshit. I won't mention Johnson fumbling, drops, other dumb *** play call sequences. We have first and goal at the six and Najee gets not one look on first or second down? Our coaches and defense lost this game. period. And I think mason is terrible, for the record. Today he did enough for us to win.

Our rookie center should practice long snaps until his hands bleed this week too. He was effing terrible all game long. Ben doesn't handle at least a half dozen of those with his immobile self.

No he really wasn't that bad. People are still hating a little too much. He played well enough to win. He was rusty in bad conditions with terrible play around him but no he wasn't close to being the problem today.
No hate. He was aweful. Missed an easy TD throw to WIDE open McCloud from about the four yard line. Missed a slant to 18 on 3rd and three. How do you miss that throw when that's THE play called and you're going there to him pre snap. Sorry, but Ben makes those two throws 100% of the time and that's the ball game.
