Rudolph is NOT the answer.

God will not be *the* answer if our play calling is what it was after the first 1.5 drives. Will there be a better play caller than God to draft in the first round at our pick?
 
Mason Rudolph was very irrattic throwing the football today. Short on some passes for receivers that were wide open and he over threw several receviers too, not to mention he tossed some passes into triple coverage where good things usually don't happen. He is not the answer nor will he ever be the answer. The future Steelers starting QB is not on this roster right now.
 
Meh he was occasionally off the mark but there were a lot of drops that hit guys in the hands too… also he isn’t ben… most qbs suck in a rainstorm… it changes the dynamics of everything

That interception ballage clearly ran the wrong route… they were talking to him on the sidelines and afterwards he lost his hat to snell…

Mason played well enough to win and if we didn’t fumble away possession or field position in ot we likely would have

Part of the issue was thatcthey asked a qb who hasn’t played all year to throw 50 times in a rainstorm because Harris was banged up and they don’t trust the backups
 
Mason did play well enough to win. We had a field goal on the horizon when Johnson and Freiermuth both fumbled. However, he has not played well enough to convince me he's anything more than a backup.

21 / 30 205 yds 2 TD, 0 int.

This week, with 1 day notice Rudolph:

39/50 242 yds 1 TD, 1 INT. oh and he ran 4 times for 36 yds.

21 rec' for 205 is just about 10 per. That gives Ben 390 for today.
Conversely, Rudolph averaged 6.2 ypp. Against the Bears, that gives him 130 yards.

I don't think you meant what you were trying to mean there...

Rudolph did have a better completion %, but then again, when you throw damn near everything to your RB...

Yeah let's go ahead and get that one out of the way as well. Maybe next week if Ben can't go. Something tells me they will play Mason and only if he really screws the pooch does he get pulled.

Doesn't matter. I don't see a championship team on the field anyway. They really need a stud NT if they're going to stick with the 3/4 until the end of time. A healthy in shape Tuitt would really help the cause right now. The OL should get better. Green needs to really start making strides because he's not cutting it.
 
Im going to keep pounding thst we need a deep threat… yeah averagr speed wrs can sometimes get open deep… but we have nobody to back off tge safeties and that’s killing the middle of the field

The answer isnt a small quick guy to dink and dunk

Ballage may have run the wrong route but Ballage was already running and did not seem to deviate from his path when Mason threw it. I think there is a better argument for the missed slant to DJ. DJ seemed to slow up a bit, but the ball should not have been thrown 500mph anyways.
 
So, Haskins couldn't even throw decent passes warming up on the sideline. I sure hope they have some rabbit to pull out of their hat for next year.
 
Word of advice from a guy who has been a Pirates fan since 1970: Don't let these games ruin your day. Seriously. I root for the Steelers but if I am not enjoying watching the game, I do something else for a while. Go for a walk, mowed the lawn yesterday midway through the 2nd quarter and through halftime.

The players get paid to participate; we PAY to participate. I don't pay for something unless it gives me pleasure. The Steelers are going to be a bad team beginning in 2022. We saw what that team looks like yesterday. Terrible QB play, bad play calling, giving up a bunch of yards on the ground to a vastly inferior opponent with a bad QB, performing horribly at home against a terrible opponent.

Uhh, if the team is competent, I enjoy watching. If they suck, I do something else. Began that policy in the 1990's with the Pirates. I used to say the Pirates made me healthier, since I would go for a walk when they sucked, and brother, I went on a lot of walks the past 30 years.

BumblingBob STFU with that ****. Haskins has a starting background and Rudy hasn't exactly lit up the scoreboard. I would rather try and fail than to stick with mediocre. Speaking of my condolences to your parents.
