Same ****...different day.

When is enough, enough people...for christ sakes. These two are ******* embarrassing. Yet there are still people on this board that defend these idiots.

I'm not a fan of either coach but at some point our "elite" QB needs to out play the rookie QB right??

We no longer have a franchise quarterback

The worst mistake the FO can do at this point is offer Ben a franchise QB contract. Let him walk when his contract runs out. Burn a high draft pick on a QB next year and let him learn what not to do, then throw him in there like the other teams do - sink or swim. Franchise is as franchise does.

Dumb and Dumber are 7-4 I think?

I am not sure with that schedule and the way the team has played that they are anything but dumb and dumber.

talent prevailed, but bad coaching will be this teams downfall sooner than later

last two games hasn't inspired confidence

Steelers for life, but for me I am ready for a new coach. I think this team will not go as far as it could without one.......

Ummm how long have you been watching football? You do know Ben is throwing against the opposing QB right? Tenn pressure was way more intense than ours was. You really think if Mettenberg was behind our line facing the pass rush Ben was facing he'd have done anything?
So you're taking Russell Wilson over Peyton Manning?

Its the talent thats helped to lose....those red zone issues and turnover last week that we saw ...that was lack of execution on the players. Players ****** up....dont put that on coaches...coaches dont plan to turn the ball over four times and go 0-4 in the red zone. Ben tonight almost ****** this one away with another red zone turnover. Half those sacks ???? ON the quarterbacks inability to adjust and get the ball out....this is pee wee league **** from a franchise QB.

THink about this....had it not been for last weeks turnover fest we would be 8-3 and tied for a second seed for the playoffs........1 game and yall wanna *****....incessantly *****. AFTER a win. Contrary to what yall might believe, nothing is easy in the NFL....winning aint easy....but we GOTTA get smarter play from our quarterback..and when hes off, we need to do what we did tonight and let the run game assert itself and let Ben COMPLIMENT the run game on his off nights...

I dunno Slash. Here's how I look at it.

My oldest is a HS QB now. I tell him, if you make it to College, any level - even Division III - you're an elite QB. Yeah, even Division III. What's elite? Well, consider there's about 360Million people in the US give or take all of the illegal aliens. 52% are women, give or take, 48% men. That's about 173Million American men. Give or take there are 245 college football programs. With 3 QBs each, maybe four. If every one of those programs had 4 QBs, that's less than 1,000 QBs playing in college. 1,000 QBs out of 173 Million men. If you play college football, regardless of position, you're elite.

Here we are in the NFL. The Steelers are one of 32 teams, 32 NFL teams all with extra-elite talent. And that team is a mere half game out of first in the AFC North. With a 7-4 record. With a HC with a career winning record and a Super Bowl ring. With an OC with a solid (by all counts) career. And people want to call them dumb and dumber.

I've seen teams with Romeo Crennel as HC, or Steve Spurrier as HC. I'm really ******* glad I'm not a fan of those teams. No...if 8-8 a couple seasons in a row is as bad as it gets as a Steelrers fan, and we cry this much, then I'll say we're ******* spoiled.

I'll take it. As much as it pains the plumbers and accountants and lawyers on this board, these guys are elite in their craft. Like it or not.

I don't always agree, the team gives me heartburn, and I often say "WTF!?" after plays and play Monday Morning QB. But really...really? We're pretty ******* fortunate fans.

Tomlin could go tomorrow. After seeing the locker room, not sure this Steeler teams get Tomlin. Tomlin has help lose the mystic the Steelers once were. Teams with one and tow wins look forward to playing us. We struggle and hard to have an answer for it except you are as your head coach is and Tomlin just doesn't show much.

The INT was just Ben and Brown on the wrong page, let's not make it sound like Ben threw a horrible ball, Brown had position on the DB, a simple check back to the qb and were 1st and goal.

Tennessee was taking the short **** away, throw where? He hit the check down early to Archer and her dropped it, Bryant wasn't going up for the ball like he usually does.

Yea half game out of first despite our one half team

Ben did not make a good throw to Archer it was behind him and he was running away from it, The Brown throw was behind as well, Throwing it away instead of trying to force it would have been smarter.

I give the coaches of Tenn credit for the game they played three of them were long time Steelers coaches and it looked like they did all they could to get the win. I have to give the steelers coaches credit for a change as well they did not panic and found some things that worked and stuck with them.

The interception was a terrible pass and we were in field goal range, doubling its stupidity. It looked exactly like the stupid interception he threw against the Jets but then that would take objectivity on your part and for you to get off your knees in front of Ben.

Ben threw that off his back foot.......it was disasterous as soon as it left his hands...he had nothing on the throw

You are a ********.

Haha, the get off your knees come back, did you learn that at recess today, troll? I said during the jets game that pick was a horrible throw. Look at the replay, Brown crossed the face of the DB and instead of coming back to the QB like Ben thought he was, he kept running, but then again Brown never does anything wrong, so yeah, that was all on Ben.

Tennessee's game plan was EXACTLY what any idiot would think it would be...bring the blitz, just like Ryan did. Of course they probably had a few laughs knowing the Steelers would come out throwing bombs INSTEAD of running the ball against one of the worst run defenses in football.

Ben NEEDED players on the field who could 'read' the blitz and break off their routes to "show themselves" to Ben as an outlet or "hot" read. He had Brown...that's it. He is the only one he trusts and we can see why. They pulled Bryant and should have pulled Wheaton as well as he went to Heath and Brown...almost exclusively. The other players do not know how to play with Ben. They will eventually get it, which is good news. They don't get it right now which is bad. I thought I was watching my son's HS coach who takes almost the same amount of time to recognize the weakness (the run defense) of a defense before employing a strategy to defeat it. It's almost as if they REALLY don't like being "down" in a game and want to catch up as quickly as possible. Pounding the ******* ball became the right choice after every logical fan knew it to be the immediate choice from the beginning.

We are lucky to have won this game as their offensive game-plan had some wheels. We HAVE to get better at recognizing we are NOT the team that beat the Colts. We are a team that needs to play to the defenses' weaknesses regardless. The Saints defense will employ the same strategy against us, guaranteed. We need to be ready to run the ball until they stop blitzing because they will NOT have a rookie 3rd string QB on the other side.

Mettenberger played as well as he could play...he got protection and time on a few drives...once he got time he lit it up. He shined last night but thats because he had time to set and throw. We hardly made him move which is not his strong suit. He cant throw well when hes forced to move off his spot.

The audibles to the run were there for the taking the whole game. Ben has to get the team into the right play when facing these type of pressures. The play to Brown was a miscommunication. Sucks in the red zone but it happens. Bryant has to go get the ball. Dont wait for it, he has to be aggressive and go get it. Archer play wasnt a checkdown it was a designed swing pass that was poorly thrown but still catchable. If teams are going to blitz like that run the ball away from it or Bell should have numerous catches on quick releases.

Rookie 3rd string QB: 15/24 (62.5%) for 263 yards and 2 TD, 1 INT
"Franchise" QB: 21/32 (65.6%) for 207 yards and 1 TD, 1 INT

Whatever.

actually, that rookie is now their 1st string QB and his one interception was a pick six and 80 yards and a TD came off of a massively blown coverage...

The Franchise QB also has thrown, off the top of my head so it may be wrong, for 14 TDs against 2 int. in the past four games and has two Super Bowl wins with a third AFC Championship thrown in... The Franchise QB also has to go into each week with a team scheming to stop him at all costs because he is capable of single handedly winning football games. So.....

Whatever..
