The reason they are freaking out is because they know the secret that abortion is not as popular as they claim. They make it seem like only nuts in deep red states are against it but that's a lie. Sure it would still be legal in big blue states, but it would be banned in red and it's bet in most states it would be legal but very limited.
It strikes at the heart of their true goal, to have NY and CA rule the whole country. They can't stand that other states are free to do as their people will. Part of that is that they don't want the direct comparison. They don't want people seeing blue states fall apart and red states thrive.

Considering your first comment whining about men being held responsible for the life they helped create is laughable that you would broad brush paint women not being responsible or accountable - it's kryptonite to females. That is ******* hilarious.
You realize the drop off laws were made to help save babies, right? I"m not going to pretend to know what is in other's minds, and I struggle with women that can just toss their baby away like a piece of garbage. So, instead of trying to hide it and kill your baby - here, please, drop the child off so that it can be taken care of and possibly be placed in a loving home.
People in general - men and women - can and do lack responsibility/accountability. Neither sex owns the trophy for this. Stop putting your maleness up on the cross as being persecuted when accountability and responsibility comes your way and then blame the woman, and I would say that to the woman that wants to blame men for everything as well. As for the commentary on keep it in your pants - the vast majority of the time it's telling the woman to keep her legs closed - both should be being stated. You know, equality.
In speaking of broad brushes - you think most abortions are occurring based off of women's selfishness? You do realize there are quite a few cases of women being pressured, bullied and coerced into getting abortions by their significant other and other family members. They get the abortion they didn't want to get and then deal with the PTSD after the fact. Or do you think women are just skipping happily to abortion clinics to get that baby sucked out of them. I mean, there are some sick individuals like that - but it's not one size fits all in these cases.
You want to save the babies - obviously not the ones that you would have to pay child support for - banning abortions is not the way. The dems are winning the culture war and have been doing so for years. Conservatives need to get their **** straight and compete with entities like Planned Parenthood more broadly to show the way - hearts and minds, education, helping to lift people up. Naw - we prefer by govt. force - what horse ****.

Yes in most specific terms. Roberts confirmed it was an early draft and he is furious. He is having it investigated.

What's laughable is you missing the point of females demanding the government not forcing them to be parents while demanding the government force men to be parents while at the same time using the rhetoric of men being the only ones responsible for a pregnancy.

Abortion is one of the clear issues in this country that the parties do not understand how to "lead" when they are ahead.
If the left/democrats had decided to pass/practice common sense abortion laws since 1973 and slowly try to convince the majority of Americans that this is a best course of action for the country, we wouldn't be here today. Instead, radical left-wing crazies not only want legal abortion, they want UNREASONABLE legal abortion. I mean, abortion of 24-28 week fetuses. There is just no end to what they want.
And all that crazy rhetoric gets used by the minority party (the Republicans in this case) to paint the pro-choice movement as baby killers. And they will convince 20-25 states to go the complete OPPOSITE direction and ban abortions completely.
Note, I don't think that's going to work either. I think once/if Roe v. Wade goes away, the far-right "No abortion ever" position will actually lose out in the long run in this country. And those federal representatives that run on a hard-line will start to lose now that Roe vs. Wade is gone. Republicans don't know how to run/lead once in front on an issue either.
I don't know how any reasonable conservative here thinks this issue helps Republicans this coming November in the mid-terms. Republicans were finally making inroads on turning middle class America (particularly women) towards there side because of inflation, crime and border issues (all of which are common sense issues that people can see and feel). Now, we give them an emotion reason to abandon ship. Make the races in November a one-issue vote: abortion.
I fully support overturning Roe v. Wade on legal grounds and interpretation. I also fully understand I don't think this "helps", in any way, Republicans win in November and in national elections. Maybe the ******* mess Democrats have made will be enough to still win (I think so), but in any other year, where the conditions in the country are more normal, I'm not so sure.

How else can the geriatrics get their baby stems to keep going? I mean look at drunkey, she has to be about 150yr old.
Personal perspective, I'm not against abortion as long as there are guidelines. The problem is that many that are screaming on the left, my body, my choice crowd, would be OK with suffocating a newborn. And on the other end of the spectrum are those that want it banned completely.
I can attest that 38 years ago my daughter was born at 30 weeks, and today is a healthy, productive member of society. So, in my case at least, live began at 30 weeks, and with advancements in medicine since then, viable life comes much sooner.
Roe needs tweaked and passed through legislation at either the individual state or federal level, with guidelines establishing the limitations. I think the majority in this country would accept that, I would at least.
