Allen, still possible of signing him.

Amazing for a coach that has players wanting to play for him, players that have full respect for him, still we have players leaving.?

In all my years of fandom, I don’t recall a series of years that this type of ****-show in the QB room taking place. Sure we had crappy QBs, but the empty /start from scratch / no contract rooms……………. ?

The only other time I was more embarrassed to be a Steeler fan is when Villanueva was the only player to take the field for the national anthem...

Very sad what this organization has become...

I’m right there with yaz steel Dino, thanks for all your great post(s) along the w3ay. I appreciate you !!!!

Our great nation was in a turmoil situation, but in the most desperate times one needs to do what is right. To many have fallen to protect the American flag and what it stands for

SPACIAL NOTE: This post is not meant to start some bullshit political discussion. Take that to the political forum.

Not to be political but I’d rather poke my eyeballs with railroad spikes slide down into a bed of tacks and then take a dip in a pool of iodine before venturing into a political forum…not enough Peyote on the planet to delve into that endeavor.

That being said a HUGE thank you to anyone brave enough to put their life on the line for our freedoms.

Just for ***** and giggles, 4-12 would have had us drafting 4th or 5th based on tie breakers. Our choices COULD have been Tua, Herbert, or Love from the first round. Even if we had maintained our 8-8 season, and not traded our first for Minkah, we still could have had Love in the first, or Hurts in the second. **** if you want to REALLY turn the knife, had we kept our first we could have had Jefferson in the first and Hurts in the second. (seeing as we drafted Claypool in the second, a WR was definitely in play)
While this is true, I just don't think we'd be drafting a serious replacement for Ben at that point.

We would still have been all in on trying to get one more good chance with him under center.

I agree that was a mistake. But I don't think they would have given up on him then. Especially with all the cap hit we'd kicked down the curb at that point.

I doubt we want Milroe with any kind of high pick.

I think this is like the Willis hype.
Oh God no; the infamous Clown-lin chicken wing night out. Thank God that was nipped in the bud. Can you even imagine how long that facade would last?Shades would be having his daily morning meetings with him where absolutely nothing would be accomplished.

You need help. Does your work have any employee assistance programs? Maybe just someone to talk to

I posted that in a Steelers FB group too and one of the Tomlin fanbois gave me some **** about it.
"The Browns never even make the playoffs, Tomlin never has a losing season, etc., etc."
Me and another poster came back with, "Well, we've been getting new QB's every year like they do and the Browns have won a playoff game more recently than the Steelers, and the team they beat in the playoffs was us."
Crickets after that.
Someone mentioned on here a little bit ago that the Browns are the only team to win a playoff game in Heinz Field(or whatever they call it now) this decade. Let that sink in. 🥴

What has looked aggressive in trying to improve the last few years with moves like Queen and at the time Trubisky etc suddenly smells of desperation.
It smells to me that Shades has realized he can't develop players and needs to sign veterans who know what they're doing.
Historically the Steelers rarely made trades or signed FA's.

Agreed. Put the Fonzie jacket and the water skis. Tomlin has jumped the 🦈

Big Al saved football for me. I would have never watched another Steeler game again under any circumstance. As far as I'm concerned they would have been dead.

Anyhow back to your regularly scheduled debate over how ****** up the team this rudderless team has become.

I this this is the result of (1) sub-par drafting and (2) the new CBA rules on cash and cap floors.

We have to spend an average of something like 90% of the cap in cash across last season, this season, and next season. We were below that average last season. So we have to spend more than 90% of the cap in cash across this season and next season.

And since the only one of our own who is worth spending money on right now is Watt (and Boz...but kickers are cheap), we are forced to spend bigger in UFA or trade for guys and give them big contracts.

Not good for a team that's build on building through the draft. But missing on every 1st rounder since Watt will do that...although Najee's not exactly a miss, just a RB and they aren't generally worth 2nd contracts.

Bad news is that it doesn't look like Jones is going to be worth a 5th year option either. He's on track for only making the playing time tier. Same as Edmunds and Najee. If Jones doesn't make a probowl (not as an alternate), I doubt we give him the option either. Although maybe the rules will be different for a high value position (Moore just got paid on the open market!) than it is for RBs and Ss.

Yeah. Let's go draft him because of his last name...

Deion Sanders was the best lockdown corner in the history of the game - should we draft Shilo Sanders at safety then???

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That brings to mind one of those “who was better” debates.
Deion Sanders or Rod Woodson.
As a lockdown corner, Deion … but man I remember him as being the biggest pu$$y on the field when it came to tackling open field runners, especially RB’s….but I guess that’s ok if you’re the best in the game at shutting down a receiver.

A nice opinion from Mr. AI.

Deion Sanders and Rod Woodson were both highly acclaimed NFL cornerbacks, but they had different strengths and impacts. Sanders was known for his dominant coverage and game-changing ability, while Woodson excelled as a versatile, physical player with a high tackle count and multiple Pro Bowl appearances.

Wait till this year’s harvest, it has the power to protect people from bridges. I’ll give you a sample pack to test… while you are in the political forum. Then whilst in my Spirit World, I’ll solicit your review……… paperless and wireless, although you will be wired for the occasion.

Deion was basically a wide receiver catching passes for the defense.

Sanders was the best at what he was expected to do, cover WR’s and return kicks.

Woodson was the better football player hands down, and not even remotely close. He excelled at returns, covering receivers, run support and blitzing, as well as rehabbing a destroyed knee

This is the same argument as Reed or Troy P, which is better.

I would gladly have any of the 4, but to build a top notch defense I would pick Rod & Troy every time and twice on Sunday.

Don't jump into a conversation without reading the first part of the conversation. The situation was presented that if there was ever a time to prepare for life after Ben, that would have been the year to do it. The year he got hurt.

Obviously they weren't thinking about it, and weren't giving up on him, because they didn't draft a QB when given the chance.
