Side lines yelling

That incomplete pass was 80% Ben 20% Bryant. That ball was thrown waaaaaay inside. All Bryant could have done would have prevented a pick,...that's all.

Correct! And he did not even try to break it up. No effort at all. 0%. Yes, Ben under threw it, but ****, make an effort.

I think it is a mind focus thing for Bryant. No more trees, rusty after a long time off. And he has struggled getting back to normal. Because his normal was getting high all the time. I think he is making steps in the right direction. Just Daddy had to give him a time out. I will look for continued improvement.

And DIC, the reason why I had a problem with throwing that first deep ball to Bryant, was because the defender had depth and inside contain. Bryant wasn't gaining ground, let alone separation. It was a poor decision to throw that ball. Ben saw 1 on 1 numbers, the ball stayed inside, right where the defender was positioned.

Ben's had a few INTs this year that weren't his fault or were excellent plays by the D. This was not one of those plays.

Down 17-15, Tomlin decided to go for a two-point conversion to try to tie the game. But the Steelers were using a new two-point play they hadn’t used much and didn’t get lined up correctly. Then, after Roethlisberger called a timeout, they again failed to get lined up correctly.

“We had a specialty play there called and just negligence,” Tomlin said when I asked about the confusion. “I accept responsibility for that. We couldn’t get lined up even after the timeout. Some of those specialty plays, two-point plays and stuff are somewhat obscure. We didn’t get it done.”

I get what you are saying Cope but what ales me is the "LACK" of anything by Bryant. Could he have made an effort to swat, disorientated the defender, just plain *** got in the way for no catch and gotten offensive pass interference???? There was time for any or all but like I've said I think the clicking above the shoulders isn't quite all there yet. He is showing signs of better and I hope he continues with his upwards improvement as later in the game he showed some signs.

Salute the nation

It was. If Bryan had tried to come back he would have had go through the CB and get a possible interference call. It was a bad pass.

The picture is an excellent example of attacking a football at its highest point to secure possession. Bryant did have a step and he was playing to catch the ball. He wasn't looking at the defender. I'm not faulting Bryant for knowing the DB was going to sky above him, because by looking at Bryant's hand placement, he's ready to catch a ball. If the ball was deeper or thrown more outside, he would have caught it.

It just looks like the defender only entered his field of view when he had his hands on the ball. Though to pre react to a player you didn't know was there.

Still a pretty good play by the DB and looking at the still, he caught the back half of the football, which is also very difficult to do.

If he slows down to high point the ball, being 6'5", the CB has to go through him, didn't even look like he tracked it until the CB made a play on it. Yeah the throw could've been better, but the ball went almost 60 yards in the air, it's very seldom going to be absolutely perfect. The WR has to go after the ball and at least try to break up

It was a bad pass Coryea because it was a bad decision. Like someone else said(Cope I believe) the cb had inside contain and the safety was coming over the top, Ben should have never thrown that ball.

And if he was going to let his guy try to make a play then you would have thrown it farther NOT where his guy would have to stop, come back, and interfere with the cb to catch it. Maybe he threw it too late? Maybe he didn't have enough arm? Either way, bad decision.

I know it's popular and easy to bash Bryant because of his off the field decisions , but c'mon Coryea it was just a bad decision from a qb that you think can do no wrong, that's all.

if this wasnt the first play it was the second. I thought it was the first. im 99.5% sure

It was the second. Cause i saw the first. Didnt like the connection i had and started the app over. Come back up and the Colts had the ball. Was pissed

he makes the same one on one throws to AB, Plax, Holmes...etc and they all manage to fight for the ball. Sometimes great players have to beat the man across from them and make a play.

LOL, the ball went almost 60 yards in the air and you question arm strength and placement. No QB is doing the bucket drill from 60 yards away, nobody.

Coming from the guy that would bash Ben based on how he straps up his helmet or scratches his nuts.

Where in the hell did I ever say it was a good decision? Im just saying Bryant can at least fight for the ball, I don't even think he saw it until the db made a play on it. So if Bell gets the ball and an OLinmen misses a block, Bell should just mail it in and not even try to make a play?

When is the last time you saw Bryant go up for a ball? He's 6'5" and always waits on the ball, but it wasn't a perfect pass so he's off the hook

IMO, it was a hell of a play on the ball by the db. Ya, it could've been thrown a little farther and outside, but if the db misses on it, it falls in Bryants lap. I think that's what he was counting on.
**** happens.

Also happened to Bryant in the Cleveland Game. Would have been a TD if not for a sick fully outstretched play by the DB.

And yes it was on 2nd down.

Report now says Haley was yelling at Danny Smith. "STFU Danny! STFU!"

Makes sense. Maybe Danny was in the radio bitching about going for 2 and not kicking.

Except for the fact that Ben was pretty clear in stating that HALEY wanted to kick. So, it wouldn't make sense for him to yell at Smith if Smith was also pushing for the kick instead of going for 2.

True dat.

haley called for kick,, notifies Danny. Tomlin over rules,, danny is on the mic wanting to know what to do.. Haley is trying to figure out the play... so "stfu"

I am not deaf, do not read lips as a way to communicate on a regular basis, and did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I don't know anyone that puts their lips together to say the letter D. I would bet 1,000,000 to 1 odds that he clearly said "shut the **** up Ben"

He's not yelling at Ben, he's not even yelling in Ben's direction, he's yelling g down the sideline. He has direct contact with Ben through his head set, why not just yell through there.
