Yeah I could never root for a rival. I think once I was hoping the two teams would tear each other apart. In the cheat era before Ernie retired there might have been a time that I just zoned in on the cheats losing. But didn't consider that rooting for the division rival. I just hated those *******.I'm not sure what their intentions were prior to the time out, but I can't imagine ever laying down so a division rival could get into the post season. Just like I don't understand pulling for a division foe if your team is eliminated.
I wonder why. SoCal has a ton of Steelers fans but they donāt seem like a big nfl market. If Brandon Staley is coaching one of the NY teams, his life would be hell starting at the press conference where the press would have essentially called him a jackass to his face. But the laid back LA press will give him a pass.
well once the draft season starts, post a thread and give your breakdown of them. The three Dawgs Iāll pimp are Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean and Jalen Carter
Iām MTC. Not TMC lol.well once the draft season starts, post a thread and give your breakdown of them.
Hell I'm no genius at it, but I give it a shot and
Link a few youtubes of complete games and guys like cope will look at them and give thier thoughts..
hell your guys are likely on the list cope will look at anyways
my school being in the AAC (but on the way to the Big 12), if I don't pimp them here no one would know about them
Steelers love to go BPA at need positions.. So I think where they are slotted now puts them more in the DE or NT or RT or RG. I think the top C would be off the board by then. If he was still there I would Tomlin be sprinting up to the podium to get Aaron a Center.Iām MTC. Not TMC lol.
I lack the writing skills and penmanship. I should have a free weekend to put together some assessments as far as what theyād bring to the Steelers. Mainly Davis or Dean. Georgia runs a 3/4 so transitioning to the Steelers wouldnāt be too hard imo
LOL, was in a chat room with some hard core Steelers fans on draftsteel.com who were former members of the old Steelers.com forums. A good number of them all felt like the game was fixed. We all felt a bit dirty. Several of them vowed not to buy any memorabilia from the game.if you think the Seahawk SB was scripted.....you were never a Steeler fan
Exactly this. What better way to build momentum going into the postseason by emphatically punching your own ticket by knocking your divisional rival out in the processā¦ā¦The alternative is to lay down, and then watch those **** suckers go win the ******* Super Bowl. Yeah, have fun with that off-season, knowing you laid down to let them in. And **** Collinsworth for advocating for it all second halfā¦ā¦Iād probably have to seriously consider resigning my fandom if the Steelers ever laid down to tie, and let one of these other three fuckhead AFC North teams in the tournament with them. ****. Thatā¦ā¦The raiders kicked the chargers ***** all game long too; no way should they have been accepting of a tie at any point. Especially with all the bullshit that occurred (two HUGE missed facemask calls, non-stop holding by the LT on #91 for the raiders in the 4th, two missed false starts by Stormy ******* Norton, how the nose of the football can now touch the ground unless itās Jesse James vs the Patriots, and the garbage defensive holding call on the 4th down stop that wasnāt). Chargers had no business being in that game, and all is right with the ******* world right now.I'm not sure what their intentions were prior to the time out, but I can't imagine ever laying down so a division rival could get into the post season. Just like I don't understand pulling for a division foe if your team is eliminated.
I don't think they are scripted. I think at times individual parties might be trying to influence the outcome. Refs have a lot of power. In a game that can be decided on one play it only takes one with an agenda to change an outcome. I never underestimate what money is capable of...I think this game would have been almost impossible to script. Just to many variables where many many things could go wrong. Kickers have to make kicks, the QBs throwing lasers into tight windows, guys holding onto the ball etc etc The worst thing i saw was the face mask no call.
As for the timeout it was very weird. I have no idea what SD was thinking there other than to set the defense. I think the Raiders would have ran the ball regardless so in the long run not sure much changed there.
Nobody gives a **** about your long-winded dumbass opinions, move along, trollLOL, was in a chat room with some hard core Steelers fans on draftsteel.com who were former members of the old Steelers.com forums. You can question whether I was a fan or not all you want. I have lived an died with the Steelers since the mid 70's and anyone who knows me will tell you that. I don't see what a game being fixed has anything to do with someone being a fan or not. I remember that season well. From the improbable win streak to put them in playoff contention to the crazy ending of the Indy game, Bettis getting his ring in his home town etc.. The team played a horrible game and still won with some questionable calls on important plays. Trust me, I defended the game plenty in different areas of the internet, mainly the Ben TD run and the no pass interference call in the endzone on the Steelers defender. I thought that the ruling on the reviews of the plays were correct but, that the calls on field were not or at the least favored the Steelers and thus affected how the reviews went. I've been here in MA watching almost 20 years of Patriots BS. Do you really think that so many Steelers games go down to the wire and giving everyone a heart attack is a coincidence? It's a script. It's their scripted identity. No way that happens naturally game to game, year in and year out. How many times does Collinsworth have to hint to everyone that, "They couldn't have scripted it any better?" If you think this stuff is legit, more power to you. Either way, I'm looking forward to at least one more Steelers game this season.
Not a troll and obviously some people do care since they bothered to reply, including yourself. Good day sir. LOLNobody gives a **** about your long-winded dumbass opinions, move along, troll

And what about the dozens and dozens of NFL games every year that are blowouts? They must be part of a bigger script which only you and your Super Bowl XL buddies understand.Do you really think that so many Steelers games go down to the wire and giving everyone a heart attack is a coincidence? Wow, so many forum members claiming the game is fixed/scripted WWE style but, something I said really triggered a few of you. Sorry, I didn't mean to cause this kind of stir. And what about the dozens and dozens of NFL games every year that are blowouts? How about when the Bengals crushed the Steelers twice this year? I guess somebody decided that it was finally time for Cincinnati to win 3 games in a row against them (and win the third one by 31 points) after they'd lost the last 11 straight to Pittsburgh. Yeah, maybe it's a conspiracy, bro. Or maybe, oh I don't know, maybe the Bengals just have better players now.
I'm not saying that a referee was never paid off here or there; I'm sure it's possible that games could be fixed from time to time, but if you think the the NFL is equivalent to pro wrestling, more power to you.
You didn't trigger ****, guy. YOU said that these games are not legitimate...that's the definition of WWE. And I did question Steelers blowouts from this season. Of course you had no answer for those, because it doesn't fit your script.Wow, so many forum members claiming the game is fixed/scripted WWE style but, something I said really triggered a few of you. Don't ask me why each game goes the way it does. I never said that every game is close and I was only referring to the Steelers and not other NFL games as you are questioning. It's just obvious that most Steelers games go down to the wire even if they appear to be one-sided and even more so when they win. It's been happening for decades and I see members here mention it all the time. If what you're watching looks like legitimate athletic competition, enjoy it. Don't worry about what I think or say just like I won't care what you think or say, unless you reply to me, in which you did.
Seriously, enjoy the win. Enjoy the fact that the Steelers have made the playoffs and we get to see at least one more game with Ben at QB.
I guess tape and I weren't the only ones.ok my theory.... yeah the NFL pushes narratives to get tv the storylines they want.... but the outright fixing games comes from vegas....
here is my theory...so many pittsburgh fans bet on the long odds tie in the chargers raiders game that vegas signaled the raiders to win instead of going for the tie as planned

Books sweat out Chargers-Raiders, rejoice result
Bookmakers acknowledged that they were on the hook for millions if the Chargers and Raiders had ended in a tie. The books endured an overtime sweat for the ages, but escaped mostly unscathed.www.espn.com
My exact scenario also. Bailed on the game right before half-time thinking the odds of a tie are in our favor. LolI went to bed at halftime not worried about the tie, assuming probabilities.
After watching the highlights just now, I really do not know what to think, other than being grateful I did not shave a few years off my life by watching it live.
Going through that **** twice in a day would have been too much.
I fell asleep watching it then I woke up and watched the end. I went to sleep 53 now I am at least 65. I am sure next Sunday night I will be about 77 by end of night.I went to bed at halftime not worried about the tie, assuming probabilities.
