So some may say LeBeau must go....however how much credit do you give him....

Some guys here need to turn in their holiday blowjob coupons to their wives.

Oh... you don't get them? Too bad...

So you don't give a damn about someone leaving but YOU are the one that brought it up? How ******* stupid are you? Dobre left because of you idiots as well.

Now to your idiotic "football" point. I've Never called for Tomlin to be fired. NEVER. But keep up your ignorance and lying. You're a lying **** that sticks up for your little click. You guys can attack people that aren't even posting at the time and bring up my name in threads I had nothing to do with and that is fine. But your little ***** club can't handle it when I show up. Then "OH MY GOD, you brought this on yourself"!!! What a bunch of ***** *** ******* you guys are. I don't need your ******* help boy. I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy towards people that don't agree with you. If they agree with you then you don't care WTF they say but if they don't then you go off on this bullshit. You and your click can go **** yourselves. You're getting what you deserve right now because of how you've acted in the past and right now.

1. Post 68 - first instance of anyone discussing someone leaving the board. Who posted that? oh. you.
2. I never interacted with Dobre. Or if I and when I did, I wasn't being a genuine ******* about anything. Bet you can never say the same.
3. The word is "clique".
4. I didn't bring your name up. When I discuss YOU, I discuss YOU. If I'm making a point and the shoe fits, lace that ***** up and stick it up your ***.

So some say LeBeau must go...The game has passed him by.....his schemes don't work anymore and he doesn't fool anyone in today's NFL.

I say LeBeau's defense works when you have the right personnel.

They certainly aren't world beaters and they look shaky at times but in recent weeks we've seen some of the young talent step up...in the form of Tuitt, Heyward, Blake, Gay, Williams, Spence, McClendon.

They haven't peaked yet and might not for a few years but this is what I expected from the start of the season is that once some of the young talent gets comfortable with the schemes....we can see it kinda start to become more effective.

Our Front 7 is quickly developing into a strength on Defense!

So what is your opinion of LeBeau now?

I am so sick of the announcers praising DL every single game, last week, yup, they called him a "defensive guru." Enough with that.

He was great. But they even admitted (if that's the right word) that Alex Smith said nothing a DL defense does fools him. He knows what's coming.

Well if that's the case (and I believe teams/QBs are not longer ever tricked by his schemes) then why run a system that is so complex it takes players YEARS to understand it. That sure sounds like a ball and chain to me.

I much prefer a D that players can just react, and not have to think. They fact that is fools no one tells me it's time to move onto a plan that isn't so complicated.

Dick, here's a gold watch. Enjoy smelling the flowers.

Can I just state that it will be nice that we won't have to sit our starting Safety if we travel to Denver...

I definitely thought about that as well. Not having to lose our FS before we ever kick off will be a plus.

So a different defensive coordinator would keep Jones healthy? And help him get off blocks? And keep Troy healthy, and make him mad fast, circa 2008?

And make Cortez Allen able to cover? And make Cam Thomas worth a bucket of warm spit?

Lebeau's defense is very good. With five good players - two very good right now - in Heyward, McClendon, Tuitt, Timmons, and Harrison, this defense has given up 32 points and scored 7 against 2 pretty good offenses the past 2 weeks.

So he wanted to be sacked six times? The tribune had a nice article about the defense and how the corner backs played verses different situations on the field. It sure did seem to fool the chiefs on occasion, their qb and their linemen. Pop I do not think you are correct in your assessment of the defense. William gay has fooled qbs based on DLs defense a few times as well.

Everyone should be thanking Jones. If he didn't get hurt early in season, we wouldn't have reincarnated Harrison now.

Harrison likely wouldn't have come back later in the year.

I am basing my assessment on just not seeing QBs look confused. Yea, Smith got sacked, but that is not proof he was ever confused. He simply didn't have any open targets and the rush got to him. That is one of KC's main problem: lack of WRs who get separation. Matter of fact, they STILL don't have a SINGLE TD catch by any WRs. That stat is mind boggling. 10+ years ago, that D might have been confusing to QBs, but they face Ds like that all the time now, and can read what's coming. It's not rocket science. Do Dick was the first (we are told) to blitz and put a zone behind it. (Everyone else used to blitz and play man behind it.) OK, super. Nice job. But that is hardly state of the art any longer. I would say Gay's play making ability has little to do with DL's scheme and more to do with Gay's skills in jumping routes. Look, I am not knocking DL; he has had two fabulous careers - one playing, one coaching. But I just don't think his super complex system is the best D option in the present and future.

1. Post 67 YOU specifically mention ME and some idiotic "correlation" between me and the losses. YOU did that jackass not me. Are you not talking about board losses? Or are you talking about the correlation between me and the Steelers losses (which is ******* ridiculous)?

2. So you don't know if you did but you're sure that if you did you didn't do anything wrong.. what a bunch of ****. It was your CJC that did it if not you personally. But I'm sure you got in on it at some point. That's how you operate. You find something to pounce on then you get your digs in. You usually say nothing important as to make sure that you can't be called out later. It's usually some snide **** with no relevance to anything.

3. Don't care... the main word here is "*******"

4. I never said you did *****. I said your group.. and don't pretend you don't know who I'm talking about... They usually start the **** then you come in and defend them...

5. No idea what this is...

Harrisom coming back will leave him 2nd in Steelers sacks with 64.5 trailing only Gildon 77, had he taken the paycut he could retire atop this list.

so he wasn't confused, but still could not find an open receiver and one of the best running backs in the game could run the ball for ****....yeah, Dick is done.....

I believe most here would really appreciate it if you would try to discuss football and not keep up this inane back and forth bullshit. You should accept the fact that when the team does well, you and others who love to point out every negative will catch a little ****. You, Me and others can not really call out folks for name calling, but you seem to be in the middle of it with a lot of different posters, win or lose.

Please at least make one football post for every 10 of these lame name calling posts.

I just wanted to add some other things to consider in regards to the last game the defense was coached by DL, his defense held one of the most effective red zone offenses in the league this year to 4 field goals. Yep just 12 points. That offense included a very good running back who was held to 29 yards rushing. That is pretty good. There are also several coaches on the team that have played pro-football on defense and might also differ with the opinion that DL's defense is no longer any good. One way to see some of it on display was to see what was recently done to P. Manning by the bungles, slightly different scheme but many similar attributes. Harrison says the defense works and the problems are execution not the defense, I will agree with him.

What the **** is your deal? You prefer missing the playoff's? I will never understand "fans" who think this way. If you're too chicken **** to watch the game then don't. Does it appear that they are better than the Steelers are right now? Sure. Are they unbeatable? No. But by all means, keep telling us how we have no shot.[/QUOTE

Nice. Personal attacks, for the fact that I'm operating with tempered enthusiasm. How dare I
Go shoot up a post office, the rage is real within this one

That's just it. I think everyone in here knows we have holes on our team. In fact every team in the league does especially in the AFC. So if the moons align just right like they did back in Ben's second season....maybe they can do it again for this season....part of being a fan. Try just to enjoy the run. :)

I sometimes believe many of LeBeau's critics understand his defense in the same depth I do. It has 11 players!

Let's face it folks, it is time to turn the defense over to the next generation. Our Hall of Fame coach has entertained us, led us to many great victories and even told us inspirational stories when the opportunity presented itself, but time stops for no man. I can tell you from first hand experience that everyone, everyone gradually loses their grip on excellence as father time increases his grip on us.

Is LeBeau still capable of running a sound defense ? I believe he is.
Is he mentally able to compete in today's NFL ? I believe he is.

The real question is why would we want to continue to procrastinate the decision to stop a decline we know is happening before our eyes. At 77 Coach LeBeau, beyond a shadow of a doubt has the most tenured and impressive resume in all the halls of NFL greatness.

I don't know and I don't care about those who say he is too predictable, teams know what he's gonna do...blah..blah..blah. Unless you are in the meeting rooms with these guys, you don't know **** about what they know. What I do know is he ain't gettin' any younger and he is closing in on 80 years young...really...what is it we are trying to prove here ?

The most significant item that has affected DLB and his ability to maintain a top 10 defense year after year, is that most teams in the NFL deploy now the 3-4 technique...and have implemented a lot of what DLB has done over the years..

He was an innovator and still continues to be a fantastic teacher and leader of men...the problem is others are looking for the same type of "students" and are teaching the same subject..

Shoot up a post office? Please. You're afraid of Manning (He looks like complete **** right now with his pop gun arm), and Brady. That's your prerogative. If either of them get hit they fall apart, it's been that way their entire careers. They have also had the luxury of playing Steelers teams with pedestrian offenses for their entire runs, those days are over.

If the offense comes to play we can score with any team in the league. Excuse me if neither of their defenses scare me. THAT is what it will come down to, which team gets a play of two from their D, none of them are shutting the other offenses down. Your fear is a lot more real than any rage on my part. It wasn't personal, just responding to the typical glass half full stuff. We're in the playoff's for the first time in a couple years. I don't give a damn who we have to play, none of them scare me.

Good call Coolie! Can you please address the other 10 or so people that do the same thing?
