Steeler Fans Have No Idea What a #1 Receiver Is…

Re-signing him will cost top 10 money at WR with Johnson is not. This is a way to ruin your cap by overpaying good talent like their very good or great. We can find a good receiver in the draft, and he won't cost 10+ million a year. The only must sign is Fitz.
Man, I hope your unintelligible comment isn’t because you suffered a serious medical incident. Having said that, as usual you are clueless. Resigning DJ at $10 mil/year would be a bargain as he would be offered much more if he made it to FA in 2023. As it is right now, we have 2 WRs on the roster, with Miller under a futures contract. If JuJu and McCloud don’t return we are down two game day receivers.

Minkah is going to cost maybe upwards to $15-20 mil/year. Then there is resigning Witherspoon, who if he gave us a discount could be done at $8-10 mil/year.

There could be a premium OL signed as well. PIT has the 3rd highest cap space. Genius.

Just like Ju-Ju was a bargain at 8 million? Hard pass on 10+ million to re-sign Johnson.

For cap space I use over the cap. We aren't 3rd. Not even close. salary-cap-space

This is insulting. Really?

And you wasted the time to look these numbers up to prove what point?

Number 1: take Browns first 3 years to do an accurate comparison.

Number 2: if you even tried to comprehend the offensive scheme & ways defenses adapted post Ben elbow injury, you’d see that teams would rarely blitz Ben 2014-18. He would burn you. Lot of 3 & 4 man rushes. When was last time Ben dropped back vs. only 3 man rush? Ben made lot of WRs look phenomenal — DJ would have thrived in that system.

Your data is useless
First 3 years
Brown 13 starts, 151 rec, 2062 yd, 13.6 y/r
Johnson 39 starts 254 rec 2764 yd 10.9 y/r
Ben also threw alot more passes in Johnsons first 3 seasons
Numbers are the numbers. Nice try though

Yeah Genius. $8 mil is a bargain for his being 5th year player and still only 24. Checkout all the one year contracts thrown out to WR last year with his experience. Washington and McCloud could replace JuJu, but they aren’t as talented. Other than those mentioned, UFA that’s enticing is Auden Tate. He’s 25, has talent, but was under used inside our division.

If you are going to use OTC, learn how to read it before including it in your diatribes. You look at cap space, like any third grader could, but also see how many players are under contract. Only three teams have higher cap space with at least 53 players signed for 2022. Those other teams who have higher cap space are well below 53 players, and would need to spend cap space to have a roster under the top 51 rule. Only the Jets, WAS and IND have at least 53 players under contract.

Not if they are re-signing him at the $15 million value that was tossed around I don't know what he'd take, but I'm not sure the team would give him top-10 money.

It’s 2023 that all the cap space is available, try to understand that there’s a lot of ways to take advantage of that

You are asking a lot.
