Steeler Identity

The moron has had EIGHT years as the head coach to learn on the job. He has gotten worse instead of better and lacks any real football acumen, plan, strategy or game day management or clock decisions. He is what he is, a below the line coach who was handed a team he did not deserve or earn and now he is finally being exposed for the BS fraud he has always been.

da **** are you talking about?

I forget - I was really drunk at the time

I thing it's fine either way

Franco, I must disagree a bit on this. He has not demonstrated that he is good yet. He was so bad initially that I do not think he could have gotten worse. In his early years we have had a couple of drafts that resulted in none of the picks being on the team after just a few years. His initial good years were due to his being handed a team that was one year removed from a superbowl and capable of getting to more, it did. In watching the loss to Green bay it appeared that strategies were not developed to deal with the loss of key players during the game and that adjustments in and during the game were lacking in effectiveness. He relied too much on assistants some of which were not up to the jobs they had, they are not here now. The coaching staff has been rebuilt, don't know if it was by Art, Tomlin, front office or a combination of all or some other but it has changed. Most on here think it is for the better, changes/ additions most like Porter, Lake, and Muncheck some like the loss of Arrians and his replacement. We have not had a draft to compare to some in the early seventies but there have been a few more success stories lately and less WTFs although the later have not been eliminated. Some of the losses in recent years and the poor records of the team can be attributed to turning over the roster and the errors of those earlier drafts. If you have selected **** early on changing the bread will not mean you don't have a **** sandwich. I think we will have another two or three seasons of mediocrity from our team before they can effectively change and sustain that change. The folks that really work with captain cliche will get to see if he has improved and has made the progress they desired. The owners are patient and have information regarding the development of our head coach that we don't. We may see the end of his tenure after this season or in three but if he has been getting better in their eyes and continues to do so they might keep him around. If he does not or plateaus we will see the team start over and the experiment of the inexperienced head coach will be ended.
