Steelers 1st Round Prediction Thread

We have enough picks to trade up to 15 should White or Bush fall, assuming skins (15) or panthers (16) would be interested. If not, I would like a corner: Williams, Murphy or Baker at 20. Trading back and still getting one of those 3 corners would be a bonus. I doubt we go TE, but if that were BPA so be it. Tombert have reached in recent drafts (Burns, Edmunds) so nothing would shock me.

Interesting...

Oh snap, Devin Bush here we come.

I WANT HOCKENSON!

But if it's for a Devin, please let it be BUSH!

It's funny, most years it's the same thing with me, regardless of fads and trends ie the NFL turning into a wide-open passing league. And that is to draft a powerful, brute NT a la Casey Hampton to anchor the D for the next decade. This year's man crush is Dexter Lawrence. I know it won't happen. I know we're not in terrible shape there with Hargrave, I know we have burning needs elsewhere. I still like to toy with the idea how this D would look with a wrecking ball in the middle of that line. Alas....the mind does wander.

Just a thought, but I'm wondering if they have interest in Brian Burns? He seems to have fell off the radar lately though.

You KNOW you could have traded UP and gotten one or two of Coach's posts. I understand he has quite a stockpile.

I heard coach would like to trade Bell for Cleveland's two number ones.

They just reported on NFL Network that the Steelers are still trying to trade up. I think they want one of the Devins, if this is even true. Man, how much better would our D be with one of those bad mo frickers in the middle, with such speed and desire to plant people?

Any player Tomlin has a man-crush with, then I'm not interested. Those players seem to not pan out. Jason Worilds comes to mind. I think he had a woody for Jarvis Jones also.

I try to trade up for White and maybe for Bush if he's within reach(4-5 picks out)

If White, Bush, Ferrell and Hockenson are gone, I trade down if possible.

If no trade with those players unavailable, I think Savage is the guy @ 20.
Whoa...

Worilds was coming into his own and decided to retire. He could have been very good - we just will never know...

If they did the trade up,most mocks have White 5-10, with Bush not too far behind. What do you think we would have to give up? Would you be willing to give up a 1st next year?

Somebody here did the math last week....trade #1s and throw in a 3rd and 5th to go up to #10, I believe.

Trade up for one of the Devin's, if price is too steep take BPA at 20. Seems like every year that one or two of the top 10 or 15 players fall to the second half of round 1

We have to jump Denver, Cincy and Green Bay. Period the end to get Devin Bush...

Yeah...and I really wonder if this kid can be the guy we need in the middle. He has elite athletic ability, but can he cover TEs? Kinda scared. I was wrong about LVE last year...he's a player. Hopefully I'm wrong about Bush, if we draft him, that is.

If we stay put at 1.20: I think If a CB is taken it will be Greedy, if a OLB is the pick it will be Ferrell, TE: Fant. Of course if Bush is there it is a no brainer

I lean towards staying put and hoping for a drop, a la DeCastro. Lord knows if someone like Montez Sweat or Brian Burns is still on the board at #20, or maybe, just maybe even Devin Bush, though highly unlikely.

Who knows how hellbent Colbert is to fix the Shazier injury-caused void at ILB? He stated they don't use the trade value chart as a basis for moving up or down, not sure what the perameters are that they take into consideration. I guess it all depends how badly they want a certain player. Maybe they decide to go all in and target Devin White. Would be a very uncharacteristic move for the Steelers, that's for sure.

Move up to 8th for 20th,3a,6a and next years 3rd since we will have 2 next year.
Hockenson
