I thought I read that he was taking RT reps.....but I don't know for sure. I just took that info from the depth chart.

Maybe they aren’t better yet from the aspect of prep. It is the exception not the rule that a rookie is ready right away. We haven’t even played a preseason game yet. Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth wait until the real games start and see where we are. I have no problem making the rookies earn their way in the preseason.

Moore wasn't as bad as PFF rated him or the poor offensive scheme made him look. Just look at Dotson when he left. That said Jones has been dealing with a dinged elbow slowing him down a bit. He will be our LT and Troy our right by mid-season at worst. More likely sooner. Tomlin has stated in interviews in the past he doesn't right this first depth chart or put any thought into whatsoever. He said today not to put too much stock into it. It is simply something he is required to put out by the league. nothing more nothing less. I doubt he would publish it at all if he didn't have to at this point of the season.

And the last 3 years he was the best option on the team as our right tackle was worse last year and needed replaced. This year we have real options, so it is not a fair comparison to the last 3 years.

Within that few year timeframe the Steelers finally invested in the OL (bout time!!!) by bringing in a great FA LG and 3 early picks. They have invested in the position group which should effectively change Moore’s role in the pecking order…assuming guys show they can pass the easy obstacle on the very fluid opening depth chart

Yea but we're talking Tomlin and his incessant bullheaded ways which kept Canada as OC for 3 years, Harvin as the punter for 3 and so on. He's a bonafide imbecile on some decisions, just fails to learn no matter how obvious it is to everyone else. I have such little faith in him getting it right. His man crush on Moore makes zero sense. They must "vibe" together.

To be accurate the right tackle was replaced last year because the HC was ok with guys giving up on plays and talking **** about their teamates etc to the media. But he was not ok with the Right Tackle saying maybe we should take knees in response to the worst OC in football's brutal offense who was finally replaced several weeks later.

I would say more accurately he believes in putting up with your BS till he can replace you. Hence Okorafor was gone and it took till the offseason for one if the dipshit twins to be gone.
