Come on Chase for the love of god.
Yep, almost like Colbert continuously has one foot in and one foot out the door. "Ain't no such thing as half-way crooked"They had time to address their issues when Tuitt went down. They simply didn't. Bad decision making year after year after year. Rinse then repeat.
And who the **** has been here for 15 years and never replaced Hampton and runs a 2 man DL ?The voice of reason...yep everyone is blaming Tomlin, Canada, etc. But what you said is the crux of the problem. That and Ben not being the right QB to run this offense. A younger Ben sure, but this offense is seriously hampered by his lack of mobility.
Sorry but meaning what? You might want to look at his whole career.
Or simply there were not many options that fit the scheme worth mortgaging the future for.Yep, almost like Colbert continuously has one foot in and one foot out the door. "Ain't no such thing as half-way crooked"
It’s the only reason we were close last week. The two turnovers in the 4th setting the O up.We need a pick, a fumble, or some king of special teams splash...this thing is fixing to get out of control.
Where is the apple turnover guy? Call it!
Yep it definitely is time for a new GM and HC. Not that we will get it.Yep, almost like Colbert continuously has one foot in and one foot out the door. "Ain't no such thing as half-way crooked"
Are you calling our OLBs defensive linemen? The vast majority of plays, we only have 2 DL on the field.People want to blame just the coaches but we are seriously lacking talent right now on the defensive line and that is due mainly to injuries and what ever the hell is going on with Tuitt. This defense is predicated on good d line play from three guys not just one. Bush is just not doing anything right now but we have no real replacement until the rookie is ready if ever. O line will be ok with health and one more guard or tackle depending on Banner.
I understand Jenkins, an OT many of us wanted had a bad back, but Sam Cosmi was a borderline first-round LT prospect with huge upside. Humphrey was the obvious pick in the second round and they passed on him. Trey Smith had elite talent and lasted until the sixth round. Instead the Steelers went with an unproven OL coach who was going to "change the attitude" of the offensive line to make them better. A strong OL can make average running backs and quarterbacks look better. Just an arrogant offseason by this organization. This Is correct, mostly… they don’t need a total overhaul but they need an oline stud to anchor the line… they need a young NT
They may have on made a grievous error getting the skilled Harris over a stud olineman… he will be good but fixing that line was soooo important
He has had success in December for a good chunk of his career. Slow starts good finishes. Only the last few has been the opposite.Sorry but meaning what?
This^^^^ They gave him this season out of respect, but this team would be insane to bring him back...yet I won't be surprised.Do not bring Ben back next year. Not his fault but gotta quit living this idiotic fantasy. Quit putting lipstick on the pig.
Lack of talent is multifaceted issue. Injury not being the least of them. The lack of talent isn't on Tomlin. Everyone knows Colbert makes all of those decisions unilaterally with no input from Tomlin.
You have to look back about 10 years, Pretty much the last time he was effectiveYou might want to look at his whole career.
And Ben will take every last dollar he can out of old man Rooney...make no mistake. This^^^^ They gave him this season out of respect, but this team would be insane to bring him back...yet I won't be surprised.
There was options they sat on their hands. We even talked about it over and over again. They simply misdiagnosed talent. And when players went down crickets.Or simply there were not many options that fit the scheme worth mortgaging the future for.
They should have traded down in the first and taken humphrey… which i think someone here was advocatingI understand Jenkins, an OT many of us wanted had a bad back, but Sam Cosmi was a borderline first-round LT prospect with huge upside. We have often come up short with some very talented teams. The lack of talent isn't on Tomlin. Everyone knows Colbert makes all of those decisions unilaterally with no input from Tomlin.
OH, I wasn't only talking about FA/trades. I was talking about drafting too. If you're thinking about retiring ...Or simply there were not many options that fit the scheme worth mortgaging the future for.
