Steelers-Bills Postponed to Monday

Our boiler is only six years old but the control board crapped out and isn’t telling the gas valve to turn on. I’m thinking of making my life analog again.

Problem with that Ron, in the HVAC industry, it is government mandated by 2027 that you won't be able to get a non-condensing anything (including water heaters). Manufacturers have to up the efficiency of all heating equipment and to reach those efficiencies, they will have to be condensing type equipment. Short answer.

Question. When did the Steelers get into Buffalo? I read a Globe and Mail that sounded like airport to stadium. That sounds ridiculous to me.

Yep, my new natural gas furnace has a pump that pumps water out after a few heat cycles. And it's pretty acidic the installers told me. Which is why they couldn't use my existing metal vent pipe and had to run a new vent of PVC.

Yes SIR, they replace your 80+ furnace with a 90+ condensing furnace. Can’t use metal chimney. The furnace is so efficient it takes most of the heat even out of the exhaust, causing condensation. Short answer

Well, problem wasn’t the control module. Flame sensor or some such, which naturally they don’t have in stock and need to order so still no heat. Got enough space heaters and the oven on and open that the house is up to 63*.

If truly a flame sensor, sometimes they can be cleaned and used as a temporary, some contractors don’t know this trick (NOT speaking of your contractor personally, just a generality).
