Steelers hiring McCarthy

You think this team is smart enough to hire up and comers? It is going to be some ****** *** DC and OC to pair with mediocre new Mike.

He won 12+ games in three of his last four years in Dallas. Tomlin hadn't done that in years, and Jerry Jones is not exactly the easiest owner to work for.

Obviously, the DC hire will be crucial, but worst case scenario is we get an offensive- version of Tomlin, with that alone probably being an upgrade in today's NFL.

Nothing really matters if they cannot develop a QB and McCarthy might have been the best candidate from that perspective.

It sure as hell wasn't going to happen under Tomlin.
 
Now I did see a lot of hire McCarthy as a senior offensive consultant or as an OC. You can't be THAT mad to want him as OC but not HC. It's entirely possible that neither Rams coach wanted to come here. We thought they did, but maybe the smaller coaching staff/facilities was a factor so the Steelers focused on less exciting candidates. It's hard to know what was going on behind the scenes.
 
He’s not even the best candidate among the offensive candidates! The fukn game has just passed him by it has ran him over! Hes fukn road kill! If they were trying to give a morbid franchise a spark he’s a wet blanket! What are Rodgers and McCarthy going to do here Pittsburgh that they didn’t do in green bay 10 years ago!!! If McCarthy was worth a **** he wouldn’t be fukn fired and disgraced in Dallas where they actually had some talent! This is it for me I’m tired Dan Rooney jacking the fan base around knowing full well the fans have no where to go with their allegiance! They hired McCarthy cause he will allow the front office to screw with the team allow that! Any head coach worth his salt wouldn’t! McCarthy let the Dallas owners do whatever they wanted and like the dolt he is he let them! This is just fukn pathetic!

Did you see his last season? He one one playoff game with those 12 game plus wins.

We need someone to actually make this team into a contender again not someone that will win an occasional playoff win.

This was actually one of the worst choices they could have picked.

Just a mediocrity approach. Pathetic

Is this a joke? What a terrible hire. This guy couldn't win with a better QB and receiving group than we had. His defense was terrible too.
