Steelers offense

Pick one of the other O coaches to take over as interim.

And somebody call Munch, get him on a plane...whatever is needed to get him back.
 
I could be wrong but I think the biggest problem is the middle of the OL. They don't move anybody in the run game and most of the pressure on the pass rush seems to come through there. I thought we did a relatively decent job with Garrett tonight.

And of course Canada and his college playbook 😡

I feel this is pretty money. Look they got through the first games here but they got to take a serious look at what they are doing on the oline. WTF is wrong with the Philly guy. In my opinion the move is to avoid power sets spread them. Use Warren and Heyward and speed. Power clearly is not working at all.
 
Offense only scored 12 points. 3 of those points were after a 3 play 5 yards drive set up by a good punt return. Steeler offense pretty much had 1 play where Cleveland left Pickens uncovered.

Steelers offense did not run a single redzone play

9 total first downs
4-14 on third downs conversions
255 total yards
Offense gained 19 total yards in the 4th quarter

Pickett was 15/30 222 yards 7.4 per attempt 1 TD 1 INT
without that 1 play
14/29 151 yards 5.2 per attempt. 0 TD 1 INT

The run game wasn't much better. Removing Pickett runs
17 for 61 yards 3.5 ypc 0 TD

Maybe its a gelling thing… otherwise it is scheme.. cole is an average C… James Daniels and Issac Seumalo were both the best guards in free agency… neither were bums.. and guard is maybe the easiest position to play… we don’t need upgrades .. we need coaches that aren’t nitwits

I swear a lot of times the organization and Tomlin don't like the fans to be right. But it's like they are being tea bagged by this particular problem. What do you need to see?

I fully agree. We have a tradition of great centers with long careers. I’ve been advocating the use of a high draft choice since the year Pouncey started snapping it over Ben’s head consistently . We’ve passed on so many since then. I think we’ve made a mistake not going for top rated centers, and underestimate their importance. I guess there’s always next year.

It’s been more than 2 years,and predates Canada. They dummied down everything when Mason & Duck took the helm. And has stayed that way. There is no doubt in my mind that Tomlin has just as much to do with this as Canada. The difference is that Canada will be the first scapegoat.

All the pressure caves into the middle. When Kenny drops back to pass he cannot see. There is no field vision that his line creates. I think his bad throws are that he cannot see. If the Steelers are stuck with canada, there has to surely be someone on staff to suggest getting Kenny out of the pocket on passing plays.


The steelers continue to force stuff that isn’t working. As a fan it does make me question their competitiveness. Most of the staff from Art to Tomlin are complacent.
