Yup! From the bitter beginning, through the bitter middle, all the way to the bitter end.
Yep. We're gluttons for punishment.

You mean like throwing away all the clutch catches JuJu has made for this team the moment he's unable to jump/extend to make a catch because he has ****** up ribs from last game when he took a shot making an attempt at a clutch catch?I don't deny that at all. I think he did miss at least one of those throws. (I think JuJu could have gotten the 1st one. In fact, I believe if that's Washington he DOES get it. I'm not as unhappy about the missed throws as some of the reads.
What annoys me is this fan base's amazing talent to just throw away the accomplishments of a player the moment they start failing to put up all pro numbers.
Not sure how anyone doesn't see Ben as a HOFer. If they are feeling differently that is just silly. Problem is this team has bad decision making issues . I think it is time to rebuild. Coaches included. Unfortunately we will see a lot more of what we have seen three weeks in a row.I don't deny that at all. I think he did miss at least one of those throws. I'd rather have a complete coaching change and start fresh. Twelve years of mediocrity has run its course.
Well it was a clusterfuck videoI deleted the game off my PVR faster than a chick in a porno flick ..LOL
Following the script. JuJu hasn't been better than a #2 or even a #3 ever since AB left. And he hasn't done NEAR enough to earn much in the way of leeway. I'll give it to him in terms of consistency. He generally is pretty solid catching balls over the middle and that aint easy. But he isn't a game-changer and hasn't been since AB left. You mean like throwing away all the clutch catches JuJu has made for this team the moment he's unable to jump/extend to make a catch because he has ****** up ribs from last game when he took a shot making an attempt at a clutch catch?
I can see your point.
Deviating from the script. Ben has been a slightly above average QB for the last two years that he was healthy. He has had a maddening tendency to throw the "WTF" INT so many times that for some, he changed the whole meaning of "Ben being Ben". He also has been an extremely exciting QB during that time that could help the team to some wins that it doesn't win without him. But, let's be honest, he hasn't been a consistent threat as a game-changer since AB left.Following the script. JuJu hasn't been better than a #2 or even a #3 ever since AB left. I am of the age when watching games in the 80s and 90s and you were ineffective at QB you were benched. Period. I guess I’m old fashioned. Not at all. When he does things well, I'll compliment him. When he does things poorly, I don't believe it should be overlooked. A lot of the plays Ben has made (well, hasn't made), if it was Rudolph/Haskins folks would be screaming. A HOF QB who has been a winner for this team for a couple of decades, but is clearly on the last legs of his career, should get some leeway. But ... how much?
God I remember the 80's. Feeling the same feelings now as I did then.I am of the age when watching games in the 80s and 90s and you were ineffective at QB you were benched. Period. I guess I’m old fashioned.
I can be a realist.. he hasn’t looked good in 3 years. He hasn’t put a full week of practice in. Maybe his mains wants to go... but his body is yelling no.sneak past security and shoot him in the back of the head Skott.
You can be a super fan.
Just good enough to kill the draft pick. Not good enough to get in the playoffs.God I remember the 80's. Feeling the same feelings now as I did then.
Walter Frickin Abercrombie ...smhJust good enough to kill the draft pick. Not good enough to get in the playoffs.
This year it's no big deal though because the QB class blows. Just need to be bad enough to get a stud OL.
Then he should not have been playing. Rib injuries are serious and he could die.Or that he had hurt ribs this week, and wasn't 100%
Walter Frickin Abercrombie ...smh
You also had those guys that were real players and toiled in mediocrity for most, if not all, of their careers... I sure hope Najee doesn't get Louis Lipps(ed)If we lost 1 more game the year before we would have had Marcus Allen. That's all I remember about that draft.
We have three very good (not great) receivers with a terrible oline and an immobile past- his-prime QB who shows brief flashes of greatness from time to time. All in all not a good enough offense to beat any decent team. It’s not any one person’s fault, it’s just that none of the pieces are great enough to overcome the weaknesses of the other pieces of the puzzle.Following the script. And a coaching staff that would get out coached by Bea Arthur. We have three very good (not great) receivers with a terrible oline and an immobile past- his-prime QB who shows brief flashes of greatness from time to time. Pre-injury Lipps was a HOF talent. My favorite player of the era.You also had those guys that were real players and toiled in mediocrity for most, if not all, of their careers... I sure hope Najee doesn't get Louis Lipps(ed)
Why? Will that make you feel redeemed in your loyalty to Ben? The only thing I hope for is to see the Steelers succeedHey Man. I'm hoping Ben goes home and says "**** all y'all. I'm sitting in the hot tub for the rest of the season."
Mean ol' fanbase!! How dare they!!I don't deny that at all. I think he did miss at least one of those throws. (I think JuJu could have gotten the 1st one. In fact, I believe if that's Washington he DOES get it. I'm not as unhappy about the missed throws as some of the reads.

ahahahaAnd a coaching staff that would get out coached by Bea Arthur.
It’s been hard to watch the offense this seasonHe's been showing his age for the past 10-12 games.
I don't think anyone is happy with the way Ben is playing, or anyone else for that matter. About the only guy I saw out there today that appeared to be giving it his all was Harris. But I get weary of the endless outcry that Ben is the sole problem on the team and that if he was only cut, the team would suddenly be contenders again. Why? Will that make you feel redeemed in your loyalty to Ben? The only thing I hope for is to see the Steelers succeed.
That's exactly what's about to happen. Without a H.O.F. QB making him look remotely competent, Mike Tomlin will end up making Marvin and Hugh look like geniuses.Mean ol' fanbase!! How dare they!!
....I dunno, maybe go root for the bengals or something?? Surely they must be accustomed to sticking by a **** product through thick and thin.
Ben's a big boy, I think he realizes that his play is worthy of a benching. Frankly, once a guy is done playing, I dont really give a **** if he "wants to return to Pittsburgh again". If he does, great. If he doesnt, whoopty-*******-dooI don't think anyone is happy with the way Ben is playing, or anyone else for that matter. Ben is the only reason this team has even MADE the playoffs in the last 10 or 15 years, much less won any playoff game. Anyone can see he's struggling, but you don't have to try to run him out of town and do your damned best to ensure he never wants to return to Pittsburgh again. (That's a general, not pointed remark, Omar.)
