Last week we started the season with a win betting the under in the Hall of Fame game. This week we are going to look at the money line in the Pittsburgh Steelers second preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Obviously bets are very limited during the preseason and can be volatile because teams aren’t necessarily concerned with winning. However, we will still put out a best bet for the game if you are interested in wagering a little money before real games start.

Steelers moneyline (+104)

This is a nice play because the Steelers have a little less vig on the money line as opposed to taking them +1.5 (-108) with the spread. The Steelers are coming into this second game with a lot of question marks still especially along the offensive line. Head coach Mike Tomlin already said he’s going to treat this game like a real game for rookies such as Najee Harris, so don’t expect him to hold any of his linemen back either. The Steelers will also trot out their three quarterbacks that played last week and each played surprisingly well. They are all competing for the coveted back up spot, so they will each bring their A game tonight in hopes of showing Tomlin enough to solidify their position.

The Eagles on the other hand have a lot going against them. First off, they have a completely new coaching staff and head coach Nick Sirriani will be coaching in his first NFL game tonight. The Eagles have also had a bad case of injuries to start the preseason and will likely not play a lot of their key players suiting up tonight. Lastly, the Eagles are not a good team. After trading franchise quarterback Carson Wentz and firing head coach Doug Pederson, there are hardly any key components left from their 2017 championship team. The Eagles will likely finish well under .500 in 2021, so don’t count on their back ups to be better than those of the Steelers.

Lock in the Steelers moneyline tonight and let’s get off to a great 2-0 start to 2021.
