Steelers select Martavis Bryant in Round 4

The person probably on the bubble is Moye because he doesnt play special teams too.

Thats all you really need to know.

Like the article! He is in good hands!

Moye is definitely the odd man out barring injury, but maybe a team that still needs a WR will give us a 5th or 6th next year for him.

Doubt it, remember all we got was a 5th for Holmes. Nobody is giving a 5th for a 2nd year guy with like 3 career receptions. Stevie Johnson only returned a 4th that can turn into a 3rd and he has had three 1,000-yard seasons

I still wish they would have added another WR. But, that is just me.

In going through the articles on our tall wide out there was one that was an interview of the wide out coach. In addition to talking about Bryant he also mentioned Archer and the plans for him with the team. He seems very glad to have both guys and has some specific roles for each. This may be a nice position for the team to be in finally. We have a number one Brown. Bryant was a number two behind very good wide outs in college and may fit that role nicely here. We have several guys looking at trying to be number two or three on the team. And after cuts start happening if another wide out gets released that the steelers wanted they still have the option of grabbing him and stashing him on the practice squad. I agree you can never have too much talent but we might do better than I hoped this year, not saying we won't have another 8-8 year while rebuilding but we might do better if things fall right.

We are set at WR is Markus Wheaton plays the way we all want him to and predicted him to when we drafted him. That's kind of the x-factor/wild card at this point..

Big draft class of WR's = Lots of FA WR's come August 31st or whatever.

I would have rather them bring in a rookie undrafted from the big class of WRs. That way, even if he does not make the roster, you have a player familiar with you to put on the practice squad. I believe the PS time is running out on some of our guys like Moye and Brown. Cannot keep them on the practice squad but so long.

Brown, Moore, DHB, Bryant, and Wheaton.......... how I think it shakes out.

Hey, do or die. If they aren't ready to make a move, and become a contributing player during this camp, it's probably, as Chuck Noll used to say, "time to get on with their life's work", which likely won't involve playing football, at least not at the NFL level.

I agree, but then you have just let one of the deepest drafts at WR pass by and you could have potentially nabbed a practice squad guy. I mean, not asking much, even getting an undrafted rookie free agent would be better than nothing. We drafted Bryant and have no youth behind him. I just would prefer them to have a body for the PS.
