Steelers to face another rookie qb Sunday

Jeepers people, this defense has already faced some "PROVEN" QBs and won.

Steelers on the road are NOT the same as Steelers at home. The last two home games they prevailed by a combined score of 74-17. Last three road games, including one against a pretty bad Dallas team, they won by a combined score of 79-67.

This is the game during this stretch that I have been most worried about. Jax is a tough group who match up well against us for what ever reason.

Really?

Pac12 has generated some outstanding NFL QB's...several Hall of Famers in fact.

And who could forget Ryan Leaf?

Luton did have a 28:3 touchdown to INT ratio last year...pretty impressive in any conference. Even if it was the CAA (right, Ben?). Although his completion percentage was a bit low at 62%.

I don't think he'll present any trouble for the Steelers, but then again, I thought the same thing about the Dallas guy.

I think with the Dallas QB there was a little more of a mystery and less current game film. They have a two game sample of Luton. Little more for preparation. Saying this the team knows that they played their last two games close. I think they know it will be no walk in the park.

This is the first road game after a home game, not the end 2 games of a three road game stint. ALSO, add the rest of my statement. Will their rookie light up our defense for more point than our QB will light up their defense ?

ALSO if you have haven't noticed (I know you have noticed) this is NOT the STEELERS of old. AM I saying they are going to "blow out" Jax ,....... NO but what I am saying it will be a win. Their QB will be less factor than than "D".

Tomlin needs to rest his player as soon as this game is out of hand. We play the Ravens in 4 short days. I hope he plays it smart.

James Robinson (JAX RB) downgraded to questionable yesterday. He has a shoulder...

No Robinson = BLOWOUT

Lets hope that happens...but Im doubting we will get that opportunity..

Jags are competitive, ask GB, and we are on the road...

Records aside, the Jags could be the worst team in football right now. They are starting a rookie QB, and the defense is ranked 31st, giving up 415.6 yards a game. They give up on average 30.1 points a game.

We''ll see how the game plays out. The Steelers could be up early forcing a rookie QB to pass. If we have big lead, I want to see Snell and MacFarland running the ball quite a bit.

steel dino I wouldn't call them "idiots", but I agree, one could argue the Pac 12 is one of the best, or flat out best conference to land a legit NFL caliber starting QB in the draft over the years..

When it comes to QB's the Pac 12 is good. The Big 12? Well, aside from Mahomes, no big 12 QB every won an NFL playoff game. This is out of 25 dated QB's 7 of whom were top 10 picks. Sorry Big 12 fans.

mmmm technically, that's not true. Ryan Tannehill played for Texas A&M when they were still in the Big12. And he's won a playoff game.

Here's a joke for you...guess what happens when you give SteelerNation $100???

Answer: People stop laughing at you.:clap2:

May-BE

I've paid several times and still get laughed at.................. Just sayiN

Doesn't sound like a joke to me. But since you were called out, I can see why you are acting like it was. [/COLOR]
That is because you lack the ability to detect humor. It is related to your other cognitive issues
