Have you considered they're giving him the Kordell Stewart treatment? Not letting him throw over the middle so they don't expose a slow read and inaccurate delivery?

They did the same with Mitch, Ben, Mason, and Duck. Btw, Pickett was at the top of the nation last year throwing over the middle of the field.
