Steelers VS Dolphins game thread

Well unless a lot changes we won’t have to worry about the playoffs for a while.

Well making the playoffs in this watered down system isn't really too hard. Even easier if you're in a ****** division.

Now actually winning in the playoffs against the best teams is another story.

The Steelers have been a sacrificial lamb in their last 3 playoff games and haven't looked dominant in a very, very long time.

This season absolutely is a throw-away season. Let's not forget KP wasn't practicing with the 1's in the preseason. He didn't play with them in the preseason games. He was getting no No. 1 reps until after the Jets game. KP has plenty of arm to throw all over the field. This team isn't going to sniff .500 no matter who the QB is especially with Canaduh calling the plays. I just find it hard to believe that last year and this year with Mitch or KP, we have one good drive and then the play calling or whatever goes out the window and we are pretty much 3 and out (or close to it) for countless drives. Then when we need to score and go 2-minute style (as I'm still not sure Canaduh put the hurry-up O back in the system) to move the ball, we get in a rhythm and move right down the field. Shouldn't we be doing more of what gets us in a rhythm and moving down the field? The OL still sucks and 75% of Najee's runs he was/is met in the backfield when he gets the ball. He can't get in any rhythm. KP can't get in any rhythm. The season is done other than to watch some of the young guys hopefully improve. Then we must take OL, OL, DL with our 1st 3 picks (in no particular order).
Bi go! And Harris has impressed no one. He hasn’t even broken 100 yards rushing yet this season.

Pickett might be good, but he’s handicapped with the play calling.

And Trubisky —- people can dog him all they want, but he’s got 2 wins this season at least.

This team needs some big changes and it starts with Tomlin and Canada

Well he did run headfirst on two of his running plays. The Steelers didn't smash him, which is bullshit.

If you're going to stick your chin out expect to get knocked out. Other teams won't be as nice.
Guarantee they would have been ejected if they had blown him up.

Bradshaw's first two seasons combined 19 td 46 ints

Year 3 he went 12 td , 12 int

Completion percentage was awful.

There's your stud HOF 4 time superbowl champion.

Just a little perspective. Of course Terry had to deal with fans way worse than what we have now for many years.

Got to have thick skin to play qb in Pittsburgh.

He was a running back already past the line by several yards. If they boot guys for that, may as well just put flags on the qb.

Even if the Steelers draft big uglies next year, it is 2-3 years too late. This team has the mindset of buying shiny wheels, new tires and a killer stereo system for a ride with a blown engine and shot transmission.

He has already proven to have more heart than Ryan Leaf. Jesus the impatience and need for instant gratification is unbelievable.
I’d argue that you’re being impatient in thinking that Pickett has established himself as the Steelers QB for the next 12 years.

You can’t compare now to Bradshaws era. 55% completions was great and TD to INTs were usually equal. QB ratings of 95+ were unheard of.

3 valid high end starters in the HUGE need positions / trench / MLB / OLB ijn next two drafts would help but 4 of the six, need to be trench.

Salute the nation
Mix in some top tier FAs with a new OC while adding into the mixed a different HC.......as long as we are dreaming. 🙂

Lol. Pickett has made 2 starts as of now and some are ready to move on. That's awesome.

Technically Tribisky has one win this year.

Did I say that? Like always you put words in other peoples mouths. Just like other forums. He IS the future, I never said for how long that future is. That will be up to him and how he plays next year. Mitch isn’t the future.

Litos said the Steelers MIGHT need to consider another QB if a top tier one is available, you replied “No they don’t” as if Picket has firmly established himself as the long term QB.

Most of the NFL passed on Pickett before the Steelers took him. Hopefully the other teams were wrong and the Steelers were right, that’s the best case scenario. I support the drafting of Pickett, but I’ve been following the draft for 40 years and acknowledge other scenarios are still very much in play.

Oh yeah you can. Throwing a **** ton of ints will always be the same.

My point was they stuck with him and it worked.

The fans for many years not so much at all.
