In 1952.Actually with a good run game and the timely throws on possession downs that is a great winning line.
That was a bad miss I agree. Gotta nail that one. He hits that one and Dj catches the other he has a 100 qb rating.he did miss a wide open Pickens though
and had dj drop one
not sure that was piHe also overthrew DJ by 10 yards to stall a drive. He didn’t make any big mistakes. We won. But he didn’t win this game. The running game and a few key turnovers and maybe even a missed PI call all can be credited a little.
and what were Ben's stats like as a rookie? In 1952.
And they won a SB in year two with almost exactly that stat line.and what were Ben's stats like as a rookie?
His completion percentage was over 70. A QB let alone a rookie who can do that will help win you some games.I'd say he had about 4 ****** throws. Missed Pickens. Dirted a couple and sailed one. He doesn't call the plays I don't know what you expect.
The guy was 20-28 for 174. I’m not usually a “but “ guy,but he had for sure 4 drops against him. Yes of course some great catches too. Most importantly he had no frigging Int’s.He game managed. We didn’t win because of him.
20/28 174 is not good people
Definitely the game ball. Gained lots of respect from me. I thought his rushing days were basically over. Great for him!I know the discussion revolves around the QB but Snell had a hell of a game. If it wasn't for his play tonight, I'm not sure we win that one.
Benny Snell Football was backI know the discussion revolves around the QB but Snell had a hell of a game. If it wasn't for his play tonight, I'm not sure we win that one.
No INTs either. I know he'll go down as one of the most despised QBs in Steelers history but O' Donnell had a similar game. Effective passing and usually no INTs. Worked for the most part when combined with a killer running attack and strong D...So you don't necessarily need a franchise QB to go places..The guy was 20-28 for 174. He made some very, very NFL QB ACCURATE throws in the 4th. When it frigging mattered. His stock definitely pointed up today. He has slowly improved. I thought he had a good game and definitely was a big part of their win. You’ve got lots of football experience. I just can’t believe you can’t see his improvement and cheer him on. Even if it hurts. I don’t think anyone here has anointed him as a HOF. But they are more than willing to give him at least a chance. And yes.....I see his faults too.
I get the feeling you would like nothing better than to go on and on in this thread about Mason having better stats and not being given a fair chance. Seriously Man.
Lol......I am sure I’m in the 10% of people that actually liked Neil. He usually put us in a position to win. His passing was usually quite effective. There was just that one rather important game that ****** up any legacy whatsoever .No INTs either. 172 yards rushing as a yeam. 71% completions. That's exactly what they need as he grows.
I'm actually pretty ecstatic with what I'm seeing and in a garbage offense with a lower tier OL that has nobody noteworthy on it.
Things are trending the right way. Enjoy the ride.
And Benny Snell.Third and goal from the 2.
Injury timeout.
Kenny goes to Sullivan and tells him the play he'd like to run. It's a read option they practice, but haven't put on film too much. After watching film of the Colts, Kenny feels it's the perfect time to that particular play. (i.e. he "sees" something).
Kenny and Sullivan take the play to Tomlin; who OKs it. (In reading articles about this sequence, you will notice that the "OC" is not brought into the discussions).
Steelers come out of the timeout and run Kenny's play.
Benny Snell scores a TD.
Putting in the film work. Being situationally aware and aware enough of your opponent's tendencies to call a play that works and gives your team the go-ahead touchdown.
That's an example of how Kenny Pickett helped his team win last night.
