That is true. That said, sometimes it doesn't look like he's running full out. Maybe it's just that longer stride type running.

I haven’t seen it. Maybe it’s s coaching maybe it isn’t. He is good don’t get me wrong but he could be great with a little refinement to his routes.
 
Play action might work here to start this drive off. I would throw to Pickens but if it happens I am sure it will be to Johnson.

Yeah likely a combination but I've yet to see the route be an all out lay out pass its jump ball. Which is really about modern DB techniques where they rarely look for ball.
