Are teams allowed to throw the ball more than 20 yards in the air on a single play?

It never fails that we go into that passive cover 2 and teams throw right at our coverage and make plays while our offense would just see that coverage and piss down our leg and just dump it off

he can actually see receivers down the field and determine if they are open. He actually can look at his first option and if its not there, go to his 2nd option. We are not used to that.
