First Half Observations....

Antonio Brown is just ridiculous.....if he and Ben stay healthy he will have 2,000 yds receiving. Eli Rogers seems like a nice weapon....reminds me alot of Brown....seems to find an opening when you need him. I think Rogers could easily move up the depth chart before this season is over. In Ben we trust....he's in the prime of his career....lets treasure this kid because he's 34 years old now. LeVeon Bell seems ready to go when he comes back from suspension and the O-line seems pretty damn solid pass and run blocking. Also props to Landry Jones for a nice drive ending with a TD pass to a wide open Sammie Coates.

On the Defensive side I hope the hell Cam Heyward is ok after suffering an ankle injury....( Damn I hate artificial turf) Stephon Tuitt looks like he's going to have a monster year. Someone needs to teach Javon Hargrave how to bullrush....he's looked pretty good in there on several plays tho....kinda plugs things up and flows to the ball pretty well. We got some good pressure from our front vs a pretty descent O-line with Drew Brees at QB....Cockrell completely whiffed on a blitz on Drew Brees....should have been a easy sack. Shazier is a monster in the middle and Lawrence Timmons seems to be no drop off in his performance. Had a nice strip fumble late in the 2nd QTR...Cockrell appeared to recover before he fell outta bounds but Saints kept the ball. Jarvis Jones.....UGH.....no improvement seen from his play.....just doesn't seem to be starting material in the NFL.

Looking forward to seeing some young guys in the 2nd half.

I expect our defense to start out the year so-so....as the year progresses I expect them to be top 10 if we stay healthy. Heyward, Tuitt, Shazier, DuRpee, Timmons, some spot play from Silverback and Hargrave contributing should make this unit exciting to watch. Still unsure about the secondary but as long as we don't give up big plays ill be satisfied.
