I saw a post from a Tampa fan yesterday. They would jizz in their pants if they got Tomlin. He was bashing Steelers fans and saying any team would love to have Tomlin. Two 1st rounders and I'd be kicking him out.
And I think most of us wouldn’t care if he had success. It just isn’t going to happen here. The same thing happened with Jamie Dixon at Pitt and now Mike Sullivan with the Penguins. The key would be making a good hire and I do believe with the right replacement the Steelers could turn things around in 1-2 seasons.Pure ignorance is what it is
Not sure one can really blame non-Steelers fans for having that view though, given it's largely based on the national media narrative that is peddled regarding Tomlin.
I can actually see Tomlin having great initial success somewhere else in the right situation (especially with a franchise QB) but that fan base would soon start seeing the same things and feeling the same frustrations we have felt for at least a decade now.
No doubt in my mind.
