The Steelers usually have Monday off, so if he's going to show up for Week 1, it'd probably be tomorrow.
We are disappointed Le’Veon Bell has not signed his franchise tender and rejoined his teammates. Coach Tomlin and the coaching staff will continue to focus on preparing the players on our roster for our regular season opener on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Me'Von might want to pull a Mack, telling the Steelers he'll never sign and forcing a trade. We'll see.
Maybe he's planning on taking Deebo's advice and not show up until week 8 or so, whenever the league rules stipulate it. The more time passes the more it seems Colbert and the Steelers FO were being naive about Bell. The man is only in it for himself, maybe they should have moved on from him a long time ago. Not sure what they could have done, but this situation is really starting to stink. I hope us fans aren't being overly optimistic thinking Connor, Samuels and Ridley can just be plugged in there without a drop-off in performance.
Maybe all this hand-wringing is for not, and Bell will show just like last year. No matter how you cut it, Bell's absence today just adds more negativity to an already ****** situation.
As others have pointed out Coach, they simply can't trade him at this point. He would have to sign his franchise tender first, which he hasn't done.My best guess is he'll sign on Wednesday, but the odds of a trade just went up.

Tibs I keep telling him that as others have countless times.
Coach, if you’re listening. We cannot move LevBell until he inks the contract for the franchise tag.

If he's willing to do that. He may choose to squeeze the Steelers this year, show up week 8 or whenever, basically sit out the rest of the season with a hammy, then hit the open market and pick whatever team that's willing to pay him what he wants. Why play another down with the big payday he envisions coming around the corner?HE SIGNS THE TAG contract for one year then we trade him. Why not?
