The mantra about tearing down statues of Washington, and Jefferson, and Madison, and Hamilton because they were slave-owners, or supported slavery, or allowed slavery, is common. Further, the same toadies and nihilists who support tearing down those honoraria of the past also ask why we should care if "modern" citizens want to destroy these remnants?

Because our history is arguably the proudest history of any society ever to take place on this planet. Ours was the FIRST to go to war to end slavery. Ours was the FIRST to recognize the inherent right and value of the PEOPLE over the government. Ours was the FIRST to hold that the government takes power ONLY by consent of the governed and that absent such consent, it does not rule validly. Ours was the first to recognize the inherent power of the CITIZENS over the governing powers. No king holds power as a matter of God-given right over the governed; instead, the people hold such power as an inalienable right and no government has the right or power to take away such rights.

Destroying our history is an evil that is designed to destroy our society. Why do I say that? I don't say that - those intent on destroying our society have said so for more than 150 years. I give to you:

"I wish to avenge myself against the One who rules above. My object in life is to dethrone God and destroy capitalism."
- Karl Marx

Marx recognized that a people who knew their history, their place in the world, the obstacles overcome by a society, were unlikely to fall for his false prophesies. He thereby demanded that true socialists/communists reject history as a construct, all as a means to replace God with Marx - the new god, the false god.

Therefore, those who desire to destroy our history, remove our founders, are nothing more than devotees of a philosopher who sought to become a new god - a false god.

Marx was a vile, despicable human being.

Among the many infectious ideas Marx promoted was his hatred for the traditional family. Instead, he favored “a system of wives in common.” Needless to say, Marx did not have a great marriage, and when his wife died, Marx didn’t even attend her funeral. And not only was he a negligent husband and father, Marx was such an uncaring, arrogant bully that he had few friends. Even those who agreed with his teachings did not like him as a person. As a result, when he died, less than a dozen people attended his funeral (what goes around, comes around).

Marx a loathsome, despicable vermin

Quit Being Racist.

As are his adherents, whether as individuals or 'organizations'.

Good posts Steel!

What remains of the society that so many toiled, bled and died for is the direct result of marxism. The amazing thing is that they told us what they were going to do and then did it. Fast forward and we're a society of hopelessly compromised, 'organisms' (is probably the right word), entirely lacking the will carry the Republic forward... which BTW is our birth responsibility to those who preceded us and those that will follow. "It's a Republic if you can keep it", not a g'dammed @#$%ing 'democracy'.

Several million of our countrymen showed up to lawfully protest a stolen election on J6-2021. They were lied to, deceived, coerced and entrapped by a gubmint that has long since ceased any form of service to its employers. Many rot in gulags in our nation's capital as political prisoners, having been falsly accused, coerced of false confessions, then sentenced to cruel and unusual punishment (considering the daily activity of the rank & file marxist).

One of our countrymen rightly says "I'm here for as long as the American people leave me here".. (@ about 1:55)

Fair point to pose to a nation of disinterested, video, porn, and all manner of other vice addled slugs.

Attended Braves-Pirates game tonight. "What does that have to do with my post?" you ask. This:

I had to sit through endless blaring from the announcer, deafening music, flashing lights, scoreboard games, races between innings, and on and on. Americans cannot just sit still for 3 ******* minutes between innings and think about the game. Apparently they need a tsunami of lights and noise and games and distraction.

I have not been to a live game in a long, long time. I remember when baseball was the announcer telling me who was at bat and that was IT.

A society that requires endless, constant circuses, flashing lights and blaring music to keep its attention will not survive.
