Thank You Mike Tomlin

Nobody wants to listen to those word salads on National TV.
John Madden says "HI" from the grave and reminds you that he made a fortune and the HOF off of "word salads" on national tv.

I would definitely say Coach T was the 3rd, maybe 4th best coach we've had, clear back to Chuck Noll.
Who do you feel would be the 3rd best after Noll if not Tomlin.

Wait, I see what you did there. The coach we are about to hire! Lol

John Madden didn't have a thesaurus sitting next to him to find a substitute word for every normal spoken word to make himself sound more intelligent either.

Neither did Tomlin.

As he is parting his ways from my beloved STEELERS, I thank him for the great memories along the way.

His obstacles just became more than many (including myself) could bear.

He is leaving as he has painted himself in the middle of the room and can find no relief.

Again thank you for the great memories, you have made many happy in your exit as well.

Salute the nation

I hated that guy for years. I couldn't stand him,but that was from his HC days with the Raiders. I thought he was a loudmouth obnoxious turd..lol.

I didn't soften up on him until many years after he switched to TV.

I’m right with you on that one brother!
That dude was Public Enemy number one for the fans of the Steelers at the 70s..

Thanks for the early years, Coach T. It was a fun run with that 2010's team and some of the best football I've ever watched. May the wind be at your back, the sun shine upon thy sun glassed face, and don't forget to mow the middle part of your yard.

Boom!

Letterman: “None of that made any sense”.
Madden: “I made a living at it”.

I made fun of "The Standard" a lot. The Tomlinisms got tired and the not being a legitimate contender for years got old. Not having one under .500 season in 19 years is impressive. He didn't have Cowher's players for all of it either. I hated the clock management, the conservative, play not to lose mentality and lots of gameday **** fans complain about.

He never embarrassed the organization with his antics, he carried himself with class, he also departed by stepping down instead of making the Rooney's do what all of us knew they weren't going to do. He had a good run, now we move on. I'm more concerned about whether the new HC will live in his fears.......................

He did have that one time where he "accidentally" wandered into the field of play and impeded the path of a KO returner all of that seemed bush league to me.

I’m certainly not going to be a hypocrite now and get all mushy over Mediocre Mike. I’ve criticized him for years now so I’ll speak frankly.
Mike, thank you for stepping down! Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
I'm not getting misty-eyed, either. In fact, the pure joy that I felt when I heard Tomlin was stepping down is only rivaled by the elation of drafting Ben Roethlisberger, as far as the greatest off-field moments of my Steelers fanhood.

We're thanking Tomlin "a million times over for all the incredible memories"? Spare me.

James Harrison is responsible for making the greatest play in Super Bowl history. For reading the play on his own, dropping into coverage, and executing one hell of a return. Deshea Townsend was able to take out a 37-year old QB, and LaMarr Woodley did a nice job blocking a rookie running back. But let's give all the credit to MT on his way out the door. Sure. Obviously. lol
