PPS...Despite the rancor on the P & R side, Tibs is a decent Steeler fan on the Football side. I've also been a Steeler fan forever. Likely longer than some here have been breathing. I am a Iifer despite never stepping foot in PA. People used to advise me to just like the Rams, cowgirls, Broncos, whoever was the local team of choice and while I might have made more friends, been in fewer football arguments, etc etc etc, I would never leave my team. Fairweather fans are so weak.

No way. Nobody has the balls to start shooting. Besides, ****** as the lockdowns are, it’s still better than 75% of the planet. It’s idyllic to think Americans are principled enough to stand against tyranny, but the truth is we’re too lazy to put in the work to stop it. Somebody else will do it. As much as everyone *******, life in America is just too good to start a shooting war with the government. Its easier to just ***** about it.

I mean, after all the **** in the past 20 years and now this lockdown crap and......nothing. The founders would have been stacking bodies a while ago.

Might wanna start with something more than a handful of limp dicked protests to see if you can induce change. Probably not a great idea to start shooting when you can’t even organize civil disobedience.

Truth is, if 20 armed men came to your door and said hand over the guns, I would wager over 90% of us would hand them over and then then go ***** about it on FB.

I'm not talking about coming to take guns. When the government takes away someone's ability to feed their family (effectively at the point of a gun), you create desperation. Do it to a bunch of people and you are creating a very explosive situation with a high likelihood of somebody acting out violently. It's easy to assume that nobody will do anything because we've never seen anything like this, where such damage is directly caused by the U.S. government restricting freedoms. Add in the uneven treatment - I can imagine how I would feel if my business was forced to close, probably forever, but Home Depot and Walmart are allowed to thrive and sell what I used to sell.

What ammo will be used? The sporting goods stores here are almost out of ammo. No bows and arrows either (yeah it’s an antiquated idea, but desperate times).... IDK if it’s just a localized thing or not, but it’s definitely an issue here.

This isn't really news. The CDC website has basically said the same thing since the beginning, but initially said it "may be possible" and just changed it to "does not readily transmit". There was a massive misdirection from the known primary transmission method - infected human respiratory droplets (yes, masks stop these) directly to the mouth, nose, or eyes.

So, in spite of what government officials and Hollywood stars say, you can touch your face again too.

This whole thing stinks from all the misinformation.

If you believe that it took three months to figure this out and they didn't already know it, I still have bridges for sale after I unloaded the ones to the people who didn't believe the virus came from the Wuhan lab and the ones that said masks don't work.

Any thought of a revolution is naive at best. US citizens have allowed their government to decide what types of weapons they are allowed to own and possess, the government basically controls ammunition production and availability, and the weapons available to the military are vastly superior to anything Joe Citizen can possess. You can fight a revolution when you have fairly equal firepower, when one side is an NFL Football team and the other side is a Pop Warner team...good luck with that battle.

Alot of US Citizens have serious mental problems. If they have access to whatever weapon or ammo they want things could get ugly. Even if the person themselves can't get the weapon they could steal it off a relative / friend / whatever. The whole I'm going to fight the government is a far fetched at best idea. I certainly would not risk my life or my family's life over whether or not a can own a semi auto or full auto weapon. I mean what are people going to do assuming police and military back down? Storm DC then what? Shoot congress, the president? Its just an idiotic thought

If your fear/theory ("feory"?) was correct, we would be seeing hundreds of mass shootings per day. But we don't, do we, despite our 2nd amendment protections currently in place??
• Why? Because you overstate the problem massively. You just made up a non-existent crisis to make a point - "We have sooo many crazies and if they could get guns, we would experience thousands of mass shootings, every week!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!"
