The other 2 were in my car- and I’m driving my husband’s car. I couldn’t find my emergency mask I keep in my school bag. Then I realized I would t be able to get into work without a mask. I’m in panic mode. I was too close to work to turn around and go back home. So I get to the convenience store and found my mask in another pocket of my bag.

I never have been terrified of going to jail because of not wearing a mask...but today I was. What a ****** up world.

Cant say that isn't true, because I haven't checked the numbers. But I'm curious, can you show where you're getting that?

I'm willing to entertain that its possible, because there are 330mil people in the U.S. right now, compared to little over 100mil in 1918. But the 1918 pandemic killed about 0.5% of the U.S. population, I'll let you figure out what that number would amount to in today's United States.

And **** Tibs. After he accused that kid of being a cold-blooded murderer, after all the proof I and others had showed him to the contrary, he's shown himself to be nothing but an America hating troll.
 
So I learned that the majority of the teachers at my school are idiots. They actually said that they have a better chance of dying from Covid than they do in a tornado so they do not want to do the state mandated tornado drills. They also think they will die if they have to do an active shooter drill.

Please god...make this madness stop.

While that's probably actually true, it's a terrible comparison. Even lightning causes more deaths per year than tornadoes do. Hysteria and fear are very powerful things we've learned this year, unfortunately.

Yeah, he called me but I had to pass on the case because of my very hectic schedule.

Anybody live near highways where you can see ambulance lights or hear sirens? Asking for a friend.

All of the ambulance chasers in PGH have retired their police scanners for something much much effective,............sinking money into cheesy advertising, but being able to attract lowlife criminals like moths to a light.

Yeah saw that. Heard he was stuck with a public defender to start. Even though his family's life is going to be pretty much ruined (already getting there I heard), at least this kid has a chance not to see 8x12 concrete walls the rest of his life.

That is just one example of how crazy **** has gotten since March. Teachers have the authority to call security on other teachers/staff members for not wearing a mask in school. They don’t even have to ask the other staff where their masks are.
I also work directly with another para who is convinced our football team will bring back Covid after a game and end up killing a student. She also wears gloves and a mask to get her mail...she disinfects the mailbox after each visit and then sprays her mail with Lysol after getting it. She also washes off her groceries after purchase. She wipes down the plastic and boxes. Rinses off the cans. She won’t drink anything at school- she has water at home before work and when she goes home for lunch. She won’t take off her mask at all. She is terrified- even wrote letters to her hubby and daughter with her final wishes for WHEN she dies. I swear I feel like I’m in a parallel universe.

JFC, sorry to hear that Lyn. I know it's not you, but that's still a lot to take in. I have a friend (eh, more like old friend from school) who's completely lost her mind over this. She's always been a protective mother and she does have a lot of **** to deal with in her job, but she's gone off the deep end with the Covid-19 panic/hysteria.
