The Coronavirus thread

Travel related. Diagnosed at the hospital where my wife works.

How so? Jesus you redefine daft. Because you've been here chirping, making this political, along with the others, saying the Administration wasn't out in front of this. They were. You were wrong. Now all you got is "a lot of good that did!"

Walking it back....non-stop.

From that article:

“But I’m not looking to be in a situation where I make the front page of the news for being that guy who hoarded 20,000 bottles of sanitizer that I’m selling for 20 times what they cost me.”

But you did *******, so you get everything coming your way.

I think as soon as tests are mass produced this goes away... the issue is that the whole world is producing and using the same materials for these tests... we probably have two more weeks of panic... then things will desensitize and go back to normalish... its like a war breaking out... after a bit people stop freaking out as the bombs and bullets fly...

Also people eventually realize that the over the top sensationalism is bullshit... in the entire world there was one case of a guy getting it 27 days after exposure and one after 19 days.. the WHO clearly explained they felt that they were exposed a second time and the typical 2 to 10 day incubation period was right so they were sticking to 2-14 days

The majority of cases were 2 to 3 days to symptoms ...

We may **** down the world for a week or two and pretty much curtail it

And the lung scarring isn’t typical or common... its more common than in regular pneumonia but apparently not that big a concern overall

And the reinfection thing looks to be a couple cases of relapsing before really cured...

All of these are being pust hard right now...

Kentucky, coronavirus patient 'refused to self-isolate,' Gov. Beshear says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man in Nelson County who has a confirmed case of the coronavirus has refused to self-isolate, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said Saturday.

A friend just sent me this...

Idiot took a trailer and cleaned out all the sanitizer for miles then was price gouging on amazon... he is bitching that they shut him down, now he’s stuck with all the sanitizer ... lol

Was watching the news yesterday about price gouging. Guy was on talking about how nearly every state has laws to address price gouging, which usually can't be more than a 10-15% increase in times of emergency. He talked specifically about 3rd party sellers on Amazon and said the penalties could range from fines to misdemeanor charges to jail time.

Here's a link to the laws state by state; https://consumer.findlaw.com/consumer-transactions/price-gouging-laws-by-state.html

California: Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 yr. in jail and/or up to a $10,000 fine; civil penalties of up to $2,500 per violation (plus injunction and restitution).
Connecticut: Penalties range from $99 - $1,000 and/or up to one year in jail per offense.
Florida: 2nd-degree misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $1000 and/or up to 60 days in jail for first offense; $25,000 for multiple violations within a 24-hour period.

These tools are from Tennessee. They will get off easy: Subject to civil penalty of between $1,000 and $3,000 per violation.

It was 87 here today. Sat&Sun. 86&88....rest of the week 80's....Florida is starting to crank up summer early this year

This is Notheast Florida too. Down south will be hotter.

Think of the irony: Some good old fashioned "we're gonna die in 12 years unless we don't address climate change!" hysteria in the form of some unseasonably warm 88 degree temps rolling across America in early April could be just what the doctor ordered.

I mean, they'd trade death from Toilet Paper virus for 12 more years of clemency until the the Climate Change Wormwood wipes us out.

goddamnit, why are we still not able to click on the ******* pictures to get a better view? Justin, get this **** fixed, already. For crying out loud

I tried everything including Flickr and Imgur as a download source, but obviously not bright enough to figure it out.

The Yenko hammered at $157K+ and would sell a kidney for that ride.

The Martin J40 went for $2,600. I had a proxy at $2,500 and thought it would hold, I was wrong.

But I agree, we should be able to upload pics that are bigger than a postage stamp.

Spike's gone rogue. He's off the reservation. He predicted Liz Warren in a landslide. He used to be rational. He used to be a valued contributor. He's Clockwork Orange now.
