y’all are still arguing about destroying the country for a virus that has a 99.7% survivability rate. It seems like a no-brainer to me irises are going to virus and we need to continue with normal operations and life activities just like we do with that other virus with an identical morbidity rate, namely influenza. Although we have added a vaccine that uses mRNA instead of a killed or weakened form of the virus and doesn’t confer any immunity into the mix now.

And quit trying to accuse me of saying herd immunity means no new cases to save face, Tim. What I said was we won’t have a new daily case trend of +17% (now +20%) when we have achieved herd immunity. Again, that should have been obvious to anyone who wasn’t oblivious to that fact.

No Floggy. You worked hard to establish herd immunity isn't here. The data disagrees with you. It does appear to be here, as he has said, in certain locales. Especially those states that are way ahead of others in vaccinating.

Your argument to defend this stupid salvo you sent was to persistently say "but but but but but we have a rise in cases" - the most illogical defense one could use....to use national numbers to paint a broad brush that COVID is still deadly and herd immunity is nowhere near ignore the regional and statewide differences that factually exist. For instance, states that have vaccinated more are closer to herd immunity. States that have been more "open" and people have mingled more have more natural immunity. To say "well the US has a small uptick in cases we don't have herd immunity" is utter stupidity.
