The Coronavirus thread

You're still bamboozled that masks have such high efficacy in the spreading of this virus that you're for mask mandates? At least the ****** ones they're pushing, not true N95 masks? California has like a 95% mask compliance rate (I see morons driving in their car ALONE with a mask on) and we are the most infected state with the most deaths.

Yes, I understand we're the most populated state - but if you compare the percentages of infection & death rate to a free state like Florida with minimal to no mask mandates, there's no real difference in the numbers.
As cases are down 27% across the country, rural towns like Union, IA and Runnels, TX lead the country with 2,400% increase in cases. What explains that?

Step out of your ******* bubble!

You can add that to the long list of things that'll never happen in MAGA-land, including accepting the election results, wearing a stupid mask, not being a complete dumbass 24/7, you know, stuff like that.

At least you're consistent with constantly evading a question by asking another, completely ridiculous question.

Yeah Floggy, let's compare a combined population of CA and FL (over 60 million people) to two rural towns in IA and TX.

And cases are down 27% across the country? Not 27.8%? I'd explain the real factors that could go into fluctuations in infection rates ie. common sense, but that would be like banging my head against a wall over and over. My god, you really are a special kind of stupid.

The article just says young people and doesn't even tell you the age range they are attributing the 102K too. It also seems to be assuming these young people spent
there Covid experience locked in a closet. I am sure many young people used their time wisely and enhanced their education, relationships, etc... Some might have been enterprising enough to start an on-line business with the time. Maybe Covid prevented some drug users from getting drugs and they were able to get clean. The article
just Assumes and you know what happens when you Assume.
I can only imagine that your editor fleeces you for his/her time. holy ****. and you call yourself an author?

"what happens when you assume"?? you probably take bullshit sites like this one as legit:

You can add that to the long list of things that'll never happen in MAGA-land, including accepting the election results, wearing a stupid mask, not being a complete dumbass 24/7, you know, stuff like that.
no no no no no no no no no NO

what you just described is stepping INTO a bubble.
masking up = not free breathing the way nature intended
not being a complete dumbass 24/7 = believing the lies spewed from Xiden; believing Xiden was the single-most elected POTUS ever without any "assistance" in the 2020 election; believing VP Kneepads is not ready to invoke the 25th Amendment; believing Xiden is not a figure-head... the list goes on and on and on and on... Journey wrote a song about it.

And YES, they are recommending that even people that have recently had Covid get vaccinated.

That claim is stupid. If you get the goddamn Chinese flu, you develop antibodies to that virus, like every other virus in the history of the world. At that point, there is literally no reason to take the vaccine. There are reasons to avoid taking it, including potential side effects. The claim those who have already had the virus and recovered should take the vaccine is one reason people think we are being lied to about the goddamn vaccine, Flog.

Step out of your ******* bubble!

But you Covid cultists love protective bubbles.

As expected, you are lying about the data. Specifically, Union, IA is located in Hardin County, Iowa.

The TOTAL number of positive tests in Hardin County - not just Union, but the ENTIRE COUNTY - the past 7 days is four - 4. That's one less than five.

So how does one city supposedly have a 2400% increase in cases when the entire ******* county has a total of FOUR POSITIVE TESTS IN THE PRECEDING SEVEN DAYS?!?!

I know math is hard for liberals and idiots (redundant), but for the city to have experienced a 2400% increase as you claim, then the city would necessarily have had to account for every positive test, and the number of such positive tests would need to have gone from less than 1/5th of a positive test to 4 positive tests to yield the claimed 2400% increase. The formula is this:

Percent means out of 100, so 2400% means 24 times the original number. Going from 1 to 24 is a 2400% increase. Therefore:

X [the original number before the increase of 2400%] x 24 [meaning 2400%] = 4 [the actual, total number of cases in the entire county the past week], so
X x 24 = 4
X = 4/24
X = 1/6
X = 0.1666

So I guess Union, IA had 0.166 positive tests the prior week? In truth, Hardin County, Iowa - again, the ENTIRE county, not just Union - has had a total of 1,976 total positive tests since the beginning of Covid in March of 2020.

So for the one town to have had the claimed (phony) 2400% increase, that means the entire County would have had 70 positive tests for more than thirteen months, then BOOM!! An additional 1,900 positive tests in a few days.

I think 1,900 >> 4.

Idiot.

Following up on Flog's idiocy - Runnels County, Texas. According to Flog the Freeloader, Runnels County is experiencing a 2400% increase in cases!! Ahhhhhhh!!

Except that claim is, just like the claim about Union, IA, a complete lie. Specifically, between April 29, 2021 and May 5, 2021, that county had a total of 5 positive Chinese flu tests. The county then noted 20 new cases on May 6, 2020.

The reason is that the testing is collected and then sent to a lab for processing and the results published at once, so testing for several days is released. The County did not have 20 positive tests in one day, it had 20 positive tests reported for the tests conducted over the prior several days.

Be that as it may, a change from 5 positive tests to 20 positive tests is an increase of 400%, NOT 2400% as Floggy claimed.

Also, the interactive chart indicates that Runnels County, Texas has not had a Covid fatality since February 12, 2021. One death from the Chinese flu over the past three months. Repeat, ONE death in three months.

Finally, Runnels County, Texas has a population of 10,501. Therefore, the case count of 20 positive tests means a total of 0.19% of the population tested positive.

So I guess we shut down the County, close businesses, close schools, drive people into bankruptcy because 0.19% got the flu and one person died in three months?

Back to you, Floggy.

Oh, and somebody should tell Flog and Decaf that the number of Covid deaths as calculated by the CDC comparing expected deaths in this country with actual deaths reached zero as of March 13, 2021.

Read the data yourselves. The CDC provides a graph with the upper estimated "normal" number of deaths depicted as a gold line, and the actual number of deaths on a weekly basis as a blue bar graph.

Wow, so the pandemic was over two months ago, about the same time major population centers (Florida, Texas, Arizona, etc.) ended the lockdowns and mask mandates? Huh. Almost as if the continued Chinese flu obsession is a method for something else, like control, and political power, and spending, and money, and power.

The data speak for itself. Also, how flaccid and useless are today's media when a guy on a message board brings you this information while idiots reading a teleprompter continue to squeal about masks and Trump?

Not shocking. This article, that I previously posted, that should appear on EVERY page of this thread, describes Tibs (and Flog) exactly. Stunningly perfectly. After reading the article, scroll back to their posts. It's 100% dead spot on.

They sadly are not alone and there's countless out there, brainwashed by their ridiculous media, through constant fear porn, into believing everything they've been told about COVID. Because they are such lemmings, and loyal soldiers, they cannot or will not see through the inconsistencies they've been fed. Therefore, they still pledge allegiance to Corona, spout these contradictions, and never ever question what they are told. They touted the science, as the article says, then steered away from it.

Most bizarre thing I've seen a collective populous do in my life I think. It's Jim Jones-Guyana-like.

(from the Atlantic, mind you): ...some ordinary Americans of liberal political persuasions have become so committed to lockdowns that they are having trouble returning to normal life...Lurking among the jubilant Americans venturing back out to bars and planning their summer-wedding travel is a different group: liberals who aren’t quite ready to let go of pandemic restrictions. For this subset, diligence against COVID-19 remains an expression of political identity—even when that means overestimating the disease’s risks or setting limits far more strict than what public-health guidelines permit...But this is a different story, about progressives who stressed the scientific evidence, and then veered away from it.
President Reagan had a simple explanation for liberals.

where oh where is this land of make-believe of people in this country who want the vaccine but have not been able to get it? it's been made available at drug stores, supermarkets, in mall parking lots, just about every ******* where anyone who wants the vaccine could possibly go to get it. Either by walking, scooter, car, bus, bike or skateboard. it's available quite ******* literally everywhere. There has been a massive roll-out of the vaccine thanks to Operation Warp Speed. Anyone who wants it can get it - unless they have some medical reason preventing them from getting it.

But, please, tell us where masses of people huddle, shaking in the cold, in fear of the WuhanFlu who are unable to get the vaccine.
955,000 people got vaccinated yesterday. Do you think that’s the last of them, nobody else wants it? Or you just want to believe the demand is gone because of your ****** up ideology?

Idiot.
4 is the daily average. In other words, a TREND, a certainty that Covid is increasingly spreading in THOSE COMMUNITIES despite cases declining across the nation. I make it a point that RURAL communities have the biggest increases in cases, and you more or less come back with “But they’re rural communities!” Yes, that’s my point.

So do explain, as nobody else will. If masks and restrictions don’t work, what explains rural communities having the biggest increases in cases of a CONTAGIOUS disease?

You can add that to the long list of things that'll never happen in MAGA-land, including accepting the election results, wearing a stupid mask, not being a complete dumbass 24/7, you know, stuff like that.
When they don’t like a fact, they create their own. Kellyanne Conway had a term for it.

Read the data, you idiot. Also, no, I did not argue "they're rural communities." Instead, I proved that the claim of a "2400% increase" is a lie, and my argument is backed up by the actual data from the locations you listed and math. The entire COUNTY had four cases in a WEEK, not per day. I then showed that for your claim to be true, Union, IA must (a) account for every case in the entire County, and (b) the city must have had 0.166 cases the prior week.

God, you can't read, can you? I know words are hard for you, so take a look at Steelworth's post, above. His visuals demonstrate the point.

You are a stereotype of an idiot, know-it-all, bootlicking good little liberal gerbil. I proved YOU made up data. I cited the actual government links for Chinese flu data for the areas you referenced, proved you lied, and proved you made up data.

And you respond by claiming that I make up data? Are you stupid, completely lacking in self-awareness, a rube, a sucker, a moron, an imbecile?

I go with all of the above.

Because if they had 1 case last month and 24 this month that's a 2400% increase.
It's like at my employer where I got 3rd place in a contest and a nice bonus last month for doing 150% of my quota. Crushed it.
My quota is 4 and I did 6.
Probably other offices are pissed at me when their quota is like 30. I don't make the rules, I have no guilt.

More “made up” data. 3 of the top 10 counties with the all time highest Covid rates are in maskless South Dakota. Coincidence?

Speaking of ****** up ideology, you reign supreme in that category, triggered by emotions and sound bites. When presented, in length, with specific data, you choose to ignore it and repeat your programed mantra, rather than discussing the information put before you. You do realize that's why no one takes you seriously, don't you?

Come on Steeltime & Tim. You can do this, it's not that hard, really. During a worldwide pandemic & serious health crisis, it's the least that you can do. Stop trying to outsmart all the doctors and scientists. Quit yer yapping, be a patriot & a good citizen for once in your lives. Thank you, on behalf of a grateful nation. (y)

Flog and Decaf demonstrating why nobody should emulate two freeloading, idiot liberals. Too dumb to debate the facts; too cheap to pay for the privilege of demonstrating how stupid they are.

“Debate the facts” LOL!

“Debate the facts” LOL!

You are mentally unhinged. I dismantled your claims of a bogus "2400% increase" in two areas with links, data and math.

You respond by referring to Trump. Decaf and Flog when presented with data showing they are dimwitted liars:
